Hands up: Why do we listen to music & poetry?

Power of Music…..

In many ways we are also like these Alzheimers patients in that we have forgotten God or disconnected from him. He knew this would happen in the world we live in (Kaljug) so he

blessed us with Keertan.

What is Keertan and Raag?

A few weeks ago we looked at Bana, last week our spiritual identity of Bani which includes Nitnem and today’s lesson on

Keertan.

Keertan: Devotional music in remembrance, praise, eulogy and appreciation of Vaheguru.

Raag: set of rules of how to build a musical melody.

Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee is composed in Raag but what does that mean?

Thought shower: Why should we do & listen to Keertan?

We need to feel Keertan rather than talk about it…

Class Keertan……..
