Overview● Online, collaborative environment.● Available for free via your .ucsd.edu account (or personal gmail)● Can be accessed through the drop-down menu from google.com (make sure

you are logged in to your account):

Creating documents

Viewing and editing● Both done via simple, MS Word-like interface:

Collaborating● Access share menu via button in top-right corner:

Collaborating - manual invites

Invite group members Set access permissions

Collaborating - shareable link

Use “More” button for additional options i.e removing the “Anyone at UC San Diego” restriction

Exporting● Google Docs supports exporting to multiple types of file once you are done

working on your document:

Using LaTeX● If you are comfortable using LaTeX to write formulas, set-builder notation,

etc., but prefer Google Docs to Overleaf, you can use a LaTeX add-on
