(Previous work)OBJECTIVE (A. Robideax 2014)
1. Examine the effects of insecticide treated canola aphids on the survival and development of Coccinellidae.
2. Investigate potential competitive interactions among Coccinellidae on insecticide treated canola plants.
MATERIALS AND METHODS (A. Robideax 2014)
Individual Feeding Trials– H. convergens and C. septempunctata– Treated Green peach aphids (M. persicae)– Winter canola (cv. ‘Wichita’)– Flonicamid, Sulfoxaflor, and water control

CONCLUSIONS
Flonicamid• No toxic effects
Sulfoxaflor• Little-to-no effect on Hcon• Delayed development time for C7• Reduced survivorship for C7 • No female C7 survived• Slightly decreased adult size
• Short-term– Baseline toxicity / functional toxicity studies– Population dynamics and experimental evaluation
• With and without Insecticides– Natural Enemy Thresholds in conjunction with aphid sampling
• Current observations indicate little predicted impact / integration
• Long-term– Adaptation of native natural enemies / importation?– Population dynamics and experimental evaluation
• With and without management (Insecticides / Plant Resistance)– Natural Enemy Thresholds in conjunction with aphid sampling
• Potential based on other invasive insects

Integrating Natural Enemies / Impact?
• Short-term– Baseline toxicity / functional toxicity studies in Sorghum
*Future Predator Studies: Michaud, Kansas State University
*Parasitoids: Zarrabi, Giles, Royer, Pavlu, Elliott Oklahoma State University / ARS
Proposed Studies (Based on ability to establish Laboratory colonies of parasitoids)
A. Document the effects of Transform applications on adult parasitoid survival and function (Attack Rate)
B. Describe the interaction between timing of Transform application and survival of immature parasitoids in hosts (Predicts conservation in managed systems that account for parasitoid activity)
