acceptable statements

Workplace environment School is your full-time job–take it seriously Be aware of your volume level Display mature behavior

Homework High school classes typically have homework

every night Expect to spend at least 30 minutes per day

for each class completing homework and studying

Doing your homework every day is the best way to pass a class

Turn in homework ON TIME

Finals Each class will have a final exam Semester grades are made of 2 quarter grades

and a final exam Ex. Q1 + Q2 +Final = Semester 1 Grade

The final exam will comprise a substantial portion of your semester grade, 20% for example

Promotion/Credits/Graduation Students need 220 credits (a class is 10 credits) and

to pass the CAHSEE to graduate

AUA AUA – what is it? The rules that you have to follow to use

technology at school Violating the AUA can result in your

privileges being revoked – not able to use the computers Consequences can be suspensions and loss of

computer use for the quarter

Commons Managed by student volunteers earning

Word, Excel, PowerPoint Standard Microsoft Office Programs Word is used to create word processed

PowerPoint Project You and your partner will create a short PowerPoint

presentation to share with all students on Wednesday, August 9th.

The purpose of this project is to introduce your partner to the large group. Be creative and have fun!

Meet the requirements listed on the following slide. Review the rubric document to see how your

presentation will be graded.
