TRANSCRIPT

Explore the world of 3D using simple materials around your home. Create a character expressing your different moods or the faces of your family, friends or neighbors.

Supplies Needed

• 2 templates• Pencil or marker• Ruler• Scissors• Glue or tape• Color pencils, markers or crayons

How to Do It!

1. Print out the two templates.

2. Start with the template that include arms. Draw and color fun outfits on each of the rectangles. Color and decorate the arms.

3. Using the second template, draw 4 different faces looking away from the middle square (See sample). Think about how you can make each face look different. Add color to your faces if you like. When assembled, the middle square will be the top of all four faces so you can decorate this one with hair.

4. Assemble your 3D character. Cut the outline of the templates and fold along the lines. Take tabs and fold inwards, taping or gluing to the inside to shape your character. Cut and attach the arms to the body to complete your 3D character!
