Sketches of my design character

I wanted to do a cute character, i decided to take the size of two head for that.Ibegantodrawalittlecutegirl,thenihadtheideatomixtheappearanceofabirdandthecute girl. But this idea was crazy and i appreciated that character. The last one my favourite one was looking like crazy and cute.Soiimprovedthedesignofthisonetryingalotofdetailsfortheperfectfinalcharacter.First, i searched the kind of eyes, the most important thing for a cute character.

Then,iwantedtofindthedesignoftheheadwiththekindofeyesidrew.Atfirst,theresultwasweirdbutinterestingthenitlookedliketoomuchtoaflywhereasiwantedtocreateahalfhumanhalfswan.I’vefinallychosentheroundglasseswhichmaketheeyesbiggerthanusual.Thehaircutstyleseemedmeimportantbecauseit’salsoapartoftheimageofthecharacter,sostayingsim-ple, i chose the pointed haicut style but quite long like that it was not so severe or crazy.

Forthearms,iwantedtokeepthesimpleshapeofabird’swingandthenfollowingthemannerofahumanhand.

Mycharacterishalfswanandhalfhumaninaworldwherehumansdon’texistany-more and the bird are the main intelligent specie on the planet. The world you know looks like a bit to this one but more colourful and more natural. The humans left the cities, empty and the nature won against the buildings. The name of my character is Sally but everybody call her Glassy because of her huge glasses.She’stheonlyoneinFlhighSchool(fly+HightSchool)whocan’tflycorrectly.Everyonemakesfunonherbecause,ofcourse,she’swearinguglyandenormousglassesbutalso because she has a big head. Everybody is different, she replies them, but that everybody laughsonher.EverybirdsaredifferentbutwellproportionnedexeptSally. She’salonelypersonwholikesdreaming.Butshe’snotsadtobealone,thetruthisshe’shappylikethatanddoesn’tmindthattheothersthingshe’sweirdwithherhumanface.Birdsarestupid,shedoesn’tunderstandwhytheyneedtoflyagainstthewind,tomakeeggsfor nothing and to squeak for everything.ShelivesinacityofSwanjustnexttothelakewherethestoryofSwanLaketakedplacea long time ago. Sometimes Sally goes to this lake and she let herself dreaming about a life withhumans.Whyissheonlyhalf?Howcomeisitpossible,thehumandoesn’texistany-more ! Once, whereas she was dreaming of a new life, something important and noisy hap-pens in the town. But when she arrives to see what happened, nobody is there. Duringthegame,Sally’sgoingtosearchwherearetheotherbirdsandtodiscoverthehu-mansspeciestillexists.
