Face The World Foundationis a nonprofit educational and cultural exchange organization with headquarters in Novato, California. For over 15 years, Face The World’s mission has been to provide all participants with a quality experience that will enhance their growth and encourage friendships for a lifetime. Both here and abroad, we all contribute to the development and education of tomorrow’s leaders.

Face The World FamiliesFace The World places students with volunteer host families who provide the students with a stable and secure home environment. Host families can experience firsthand the joy of sharing in a new friendship and learning about a new culture. All host families are expected to provide the student with meals, a bed, love, and care. Students cover their own personal expenses and have their own insurance.

Host families enable a student to have an experience that will last them a lifetime. It is a challenging and learning experience which enhances the student’s personal well-being and brings the family closer together.

The Host Family Brings it all TogetherFace The World Foundation is a success when, through an American family’s nurturing and care, the student learns to cope with the challenges of his or her year-long study abroad. This is also the reason why many of these friendships last for a lifetime and bring so much meaning to those who participate. You are all embarking on an exciting new journey, a journey that will take you beyond language, color, and customs, to a world of differences bridged by understanding and appreciation.
