Golf Central Control
For Superintendents, Assistants, and Technicians. Learn how to navigate through Rain Bird’s Golf Central Control software (Cirrus™, Nimbus™ II, Stratus™ II, or Stratus™ LT). Experts will guide you through Front Office icons and show how to make common adjustments to your system. Learn how to write programs using the Quick-IRR feature, how to use the Freedom system to control your irrigation system and how to integrate functions within the Map Office to control your irrigation system. Professionals will teach you how to integrate rain gauge and weather station information to enhance the performance of your system as well as covering print office, utility and diagnostic programs designed to help the user if necessary. Learn how to write and configure programs manually and by using the Simple-IRR feature. Decoder, IC and Satellite system system troubleshooting and maintenance will be discussed in detail. Prerequisite: This course requires that the user have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system.
Maxicom2® Software Level 1 Course
Basic Operator Training is for the person responsible for Maxicom2® central control system programming, monitoring and reporting. This training will introduce the participant to the software and its primary functions related to basic irrigation operation, monitoring, programming and reporting only. Scheduling complexity is equal to that of a stand-alone irrigation controller program. Prerequisite: This course requires that the user have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system and Maxicom software.
Maxicom2® Software Level 2 Course
Intermediate Operator Training is designed to introduce and instruct the end-user on the advanced operation of the Maxicom Central Control system software, covering database manipulation, manual and automatic Evapotranspiration (ET) functions, Weather Station functions, and complex schedules. Training covers FloManager, FloWatch, Rain Watch & Wind Watch. Freedom remote system operation is included. Prerequisite: Completion of Maxicom Level 1 Software.
SiteControl Course
Basic Software Training focuses on the person responsible for the programming, monitoring, and reporting of irrigation operations. This basic class introduces and defines the role of the system hardware components and introduces users to the software and its primary functions related to basic irrigation operation. Emphasis is placed on programming, scheduling, and monitoring the irrigation process. Prerequisite: This course requires that the user have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system.
IQ™ Central Control Course
This training introduces the IQ™ v2.0 Central Control Software system software and its primary functions related to basic and advanced irrigation operation, monitoring, programming and reporting. Programming complexity is equal to that of a stand-alone irrigation controller program. The participant should have working knowledge of the landscape irrigation system in cluding sprinkler, valve, and controller installation. Prerequisite: This course requires that the user have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system.
Advanced Technicians Course
This class is ideal for golf course irrigation technicians, assistant superintendents, distributor personnel or other irrigation professionals who want a better understanding of the installation, maintenance and repair of efficient golf course irrigation systems. Learn the basics of hydraulics and the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of valve-in-head (VIH) rotors. Also covered are the fundamentals of electricity as it applies to troubleshooting irrigation controllers, proper use of a multi-meter and tracking/locating valves, wire breaks and nicked insulation faults. Become skilled at connecting communication and LV power wires. Conduct hands-on exercises setting up and programming controllers. Conduct hands-on exercises dealing with grounding and surge protection matters, such as conducting tests measuring the resistance of a grounding grid.
