Final Exam

• Blogger is an application that I can use to share

things with my family and not feel like it is

public property.

• I like the many different things that Blogger

allows the user to add to their page.

• Blogger is user friendly and fun to experiment

with. I will keep my blog site when school is

over.

SkyDrive was interesting to learn about because of the technology it takes to provide the service.

I have used flash drives the whole time I have been in school, but now know that I can store things and backup my files on a sky drive.

I do wonder at what point things that are being saved “in the clouds” might become compromised due to poor management firms.

Google Docs has taught me how to share documents with others without using email.

I used Google Docs to set up my Resume Site, add documents, and share the site.

I think that Google Docs is the most important technology that I learned this semester. It will be helpful in many business applications.

• Wordle was the most fun of the technologies that I learned this semester.

• I made several wordle’s and added one to my blog to share the fun with others.

• Wordle is a great way to add color and interest to a presentation, document, or Web page.

WolframAlpha is the neatest site I have ever used. I went to work the day after being

introduced to the site, and shared it with everyone. I can use this site for so many

things!! I constantly forget the names of people or movies or places and

WolframAlpha has already given me many of those. I showed the lady that I work

with how to use the college comparison application and she was thrilled. There are

just so many day to day uses that this site can be wonderful for. The math equations

and charts are useful in business and for parents with kids taking higher maths than

we took in school. I WolframAlpha!!

• I think that twitter and “tweeting” is stupid. I can not think of anyone in the world, including my own kids, that I want to know every move of.

• I think people who tweet have an inflated since of importance.

• Twitter has been used to cause emotional damage to people by saying or repeating tweets that are negative. HATE IT!

I think that flickr is a cool tool for admiring photographs. It is not well organized so I would not use it though.

I would not share photos that I have taken on flickrfor the world to view. My photos are usually personal.

I think that people are in danger of having their photos used without their permission on flickr or any public site.

• Sites like don’t make sense to me. Again, I can not think of anyone or thing that I need to be “plugged in” to.

• I do not want to follow anyone and don’t need a directory to help me find people to follow.

• I think these types of services promote hype.

Social Booking Marking

• I have a lot of ways to save my favorite sites I do not need a directory.

• I think that some applications

were just made for people with little else to

do.

• The idea was a good one, I just can not think of anyone who really can not manage their favorite sites without these services.
