Mac Mail

1. Open the Mail app.

2. In the top left, click “Mail”, and then click “Add Account…”.

3. In the “Choose a Mail account provider…” window, select “Other Mail Account…” and click

“Continue”.

4. In the “Add a Mail account” window, fill out your information and click “Sign In”.

(3) Enter your password.

5. After the sign-in, it will open this window and ask for more information. Fill out the information

for your email settings and click “Sign In”. Please note that on some systems, this can take

several minutes to complete. Please also note that the User Name field might be cleared after

you fill out other fields, so you may need to re-enter your email address in this field before

clicking the “Sign In” button.

(1) Enter your email address.

(2) Enter your user name (you user name is your full email address).

(3) Enter your password.

(4) Select POP.

(5) Enter “pop.yourdomain.com” (example: pop.excaltech.com).

6. The system will return you back to the Mail app Inbox. In the top left, click “Mail”, and then click

“Preferences…”.

7. In the “General” window, click “Accounts”.

8. In the “Accounts” window, click “Server Settings”.

9. Click the “Account” dropdown.

10. Click “Edit SMTP Server List…”.

11. Click the “Automatically manage connection settings” checkbox so that it is unchecked.

12. Configure the connection settings according to the steps below.

(2) Make sure the “Use TLS/SSL” checkbox is unchecked.

(3) Select “Password” for Authentication.

13. Click the “Advanced” tab.

14. Check the “Allow insecure authentication” checkbox so that it is checked.

15. Click the “OK” button and then close the Accounts window.

iOS / iPhone

1. Open the Settings app, then scroll down to and select “Passwords & Accounts”.

2. Select “Add Account”, then “Other”, and then “Add Mail Account”.

3. On the “New Account” screen, fill out the areas with your information.

(4) Enter a description.

4. Select “Next” at the top of the screen.

5. Continuing “New Account” setup, on the next screen you should see the following

window.

(1) Select POP.

(2) Enter your name as you want it to appear in emails.

(3) Enter your email address.

(4) Enter a description.

(5) Enter “pop.yourdomain.com” (example: pop.excaltech.com).

(6) Enter your user name (you user name is your full email address).

(7) Enter your password.

(8) Enter “smtp.yourdomain.com” (example: smtp.excaltech.com).

(9) Enter your user name (your user name is your full email address).

(10) Enter your password.

(11) Select “Save” at the top of the screen.

6. The account should now “Verify” and will prompt about “No SSL”. Select “Yes” to

connect without SSL. If it asks a second time, be sure to select “Yes” again.

7. The account should now be verified and show check marks next to the fields, and then

should take you back to the main “Passwords & Accounts” screen.

8. Select the mail account you just finished setting up.

9. Select “SMTP”, and then the server name that matches the format

“smtp.yourdomain.com”. This may appear under Primary Server or under Other SMTP

Servers.

10. Configure the SMTP server settings according to the steps below.

(1) Enter “smtp.yourdomain.com” (example: smtp.excaltech.com).

(2) Enter your user name (you user name is your full email address).

(3) Enter your password.

(4) Make sure the Use SSL toggle is gray (disabled).

(5) Select “Password” for Authentication.

(6) Enter “465” for Server Port.

(7) Select “Done” at the top of the screen.

11. The settings should now be verified and show check marks next to the fields, and then

should take you back to the “SMTP” screen. You can now close the Settings app.

Outlook Office 365

1. In Outlook, click File > Info > Add Account.

2. In the window that opens, enter your email address.

3. Click “Advanced options”. Check the “Let me set up my account manually” checkbox and click

“Connect”.

7. Uncheck the “Set up Outlook Mobile on my phone, too” checkbox and click “Done”.

Outlook 2016

1. In Outlook, click File > Info > Account Settings.

3. For existing accounts, this will be grayed out; for new accounts, select “POP3”.

4. Enter “pop.yourdomainn.com” (example: pop.excaltech.com).

6. Enter your full email address.

7. Enter your password (be sure “Remember password” is checked).

8. Click on “More Settings …” to continue.

6. Click the “Outgoing Server” tab and you will see this:

Make sure that “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” is checked and “Use

same settings as my incoming mail server” is selected.

7. Click the “Advanced” tab, and you will see this:

- Set the “Outgoing server (SMTP)” port to 465.

- Uncheck “Leave a copy of messages on the server”.

8. Click “OK”, then click “Next >”.

Outlook 2013
