Architecture surrounds all elements of life, its what drives the built enivronment and provides comfort and an aestheic pleasure to all. I love using my hands, this is what first attracted me to my life-long dream of becoming a future architect. Architecture is where I can express my thoughts and designs while also looking towards other precedent studies. The aspect I enjoy the most is how the construction of real-life systems and structural members join together. Through “good” design the world can maintain its stability and we can provide hope for future generations by creating sustainable architecture.

To be used as a lower level sportswear shop and upper level small residential unit. The neighborhood is located in a diverse and dense area in northern London. My concent of this design was to create a dynamic space that symbolizes a large-scale stadium. I focused my project on an exposed steel structural roof, to capture this idea by creating an atrium space within to shop for customers to seize the exposed support. The unit above consisted of a doughnut cut plan with offsets pertaining to public and private areas.

Cluster Classroom Concept

Strurctural Section model through Library

Students understand that they have the ability to call this their second home. It is a gateway, which generates a strong threshold at the entrance of the school. It provides an uplifting transformation of spirit for students to make territorial relationship in and out of the building. Sustainable design such as outdoor learning areas, roof gardens, and daylighting will strengthen this concept by making it more comfortable. This school encourages and engages not only with the surrounding neighborhood but also with the whole community. It stands as a landmark for future generations and teaches students to accomplish their dreams.

LANGUAGESCHOOLSTUDIO PROJECT | 3ND YEAR STUDENTProfessor: Jim Tice | Rome, Italy, Europe

The site for the Dante Alighieri Study Center is within the Centro Storico of Rome along an ancient street, the Via dei Coronari that became a fashionable district in the Renaissance and Baroque era. The exact location is bounded by this the Piazza S. Salavatore in Lauro tothe north and the church of the same name to the east while the west part of the site will be reconfigured to transform the piazza into a well-proportioned and user friendly space. The building footprint is grown from the base upward, displaying a strong focus on a tri-part type facade. Using knowlegde from past drawings and maps, my main redesign solution was to maintain street integrity, create useful outdoor areas, and contain aconnectivity to Coronari to the Pizza as much as possible.

Highway 99 serves as an important transit arterial for Eugene, from the airport to central downtown. It supports more than 22,000 vehicles each day. The redesign intent was brightening up the bethel district of a 1.7 mile stretch between Barger and Roosevelt streets. This neighborhood is buffered right next to the highway and is very loud and unsafe. Through our sought revitalized goals of the corridor to support the local community and transform this threshold into a beautiful destination. Our approach as a group was to maintain as much existing buildings as possible, take up the street edge, provide smaller walkable blocks, and create regluating zones for better opportunities for cental nodal areas spread along the boulevard.
