Downtown Punta Gorda Farmers’ Market WELCOME FROM THE MARKET MANAGER We’re Back! Thank you so much for those who supported our very successful “virtual” farmers market for three weeks. Also, a HUGE thanks to the vendors and volunteers who made it possible. Thanks to Governor DeSantis’ and local government’s swift action to begin reopen-ing our state, we are now open to the public with “essential” items for the past four weeks. These four weeks have been amazing for the public and the vendors. Spirits are lifting. We have been gradually adding artists as space allows. Due to tent spacing we don’t have the space for all of our vendors at this time. Be assured we are implementing safety standards for the public and our vendors
according to guidelines. We will have traffic lanes marked so people are not just
wondering as in the past.
We sincerely appreciate your support. As our guests we request the you practice the following:
Social distancing 6 feet please
If you are sick go home
No touching the food
Thank you for wearing a mask
New procedures to be followed every Saturday until further notice by all vendors:
Upon arrival all vendors go directly to the information tent to get their tem-
perature taken . If they or their employee have a fever, home they go!
Tents will be left open for air flow.
Only 2 people at one time are allowed under a 10 x 10 tent.
Samples are not allowed, unless pre-packaged!
Vendors and employees must wear masks and gloves
Vendor must have a bottle of sanitation for their use and customers use
Money should not be hand to hand but…table to hand
Sadly, we will not have live entertainment, due to crowd issues until further notice.
It is with much gratitude that we express our appreciation for your support of local small businesses. Please share and help spread the
word that we are open for business.

COUPONS AND CONTESTS Contest: On the right side of page 3, there is a recipe. All of the ingredients can be pur-chased at the Market. Should you choose to enter, please let us know which vendors you purchased each ingredient at, photo of the end result and any com-mentary on the dish and/or your experience at the market. (A photo of all the ingredients on your counter would be nice, but not required. There will be a prize of a $15.00 Gift Certificate to be used at the market and we will feature the winner in next month’s newsletter. Don’t like to cook, no problem, share this with your foodie friends and let them make it and enter. Submit entries to: juliepgmar-ket@yahoo.com Reader Input: In an attempt to make this newsletter more interactive with market patrons and ven-dors, we will be accepting editorials relevant to the market. It can be as simple as a quote like the one from Mrs. Juanita Harris on page two, or as long as a couple of para-graphs.
