Women comprise a major section of the illiterate
• The community is nomadic in nature, hence, there are immigrants and emigrants on a frequent basis. They don't reside any where for a long time. Therefore the condition of hygiene and sanitation is very poor.
• Illiteracy and ignorance is found as the main cause.
• We decided to make a remarkable change to initiate step against illiteracy, in this community by counselling individuals, groups along with the nukad natakplanned by them.
We ‘Imagined’:
We launched a signature drive to initiate the move towards promoting literacy
• Organized a meeting with
community people to make them
understand about the initiative of
Satya Bharti School.
• Organized the rally against
illiteracy in community.
• Make them aware about
importance of Education.
• Daily we held classes for the
community and educated them in
small groups.
• Conducted Street play in different
location of community on
importance of Education.

Conducting the community walk through & role play
• More than 50 community people are able
to write their name in Hindi.
• Make community people literate.
• People understand the importance of
education and its benefits in their life.
• They feel self dependent and confident.
• They are more curious to learn new
things, and they want to make their
children educated.
Impact on Community:
Women holding up their names
• Understood the felt need of community and the steps involved in resolving the problem gave us the confidence in catering to the main needs of the community
• We felt proud to be a part of this campaign and become the change agents in the community.
• Staff members gained the confidence to deal with community problems which is totally different from daily class room teaching.
