DESCRIPTION

Endodontics for dummies is a great book on the prosthetic duty free catalog of airplanes. Pretzel burgers are tasty.

TRANSCRIPT

Through pre-clinical procedures, the dental student will attain a comprehensive understanding of the related areas and relationship of dental anatomy and occlusion.

Projects:

Assembling and setting the articulator. Mounting on the articulator. Functional Wax-up: Mandibular Premolar # 20 Maxillary Molar # 14 Incisal Guide Table. Functional Wax-up: Maxillary Canine # 6 Maxillary Incisor # 8. Maxillary Premolars #4 & 5. (group function)

Ready to start waxing.

Armamentarium.

Wax-up Technique for premolar # 20.

Anatomical Details

Functional Wax-up

Identify the tooth for the current project.

# 20

Mark the buccal and lingual cusp tips of # 18,19,20 and 21.

Draw a vertical line from the cusp tip to the gingiva followingThe long axis of the tooth. Buccaly and lingualy.

On the buccal and lingual surfaces, draw a horizontal line mesiodistallyDividing the tooth in half incisal-gingivally.

Cut the tooth above the horizontal line. Make sure the proximal surface of the adjacent teeth follow a convex contour as shown.

At the intersection of the vertical and horizontal lines, mark where the cusps should be and apply a layer of sticky wax.

Apply die lube over the occlusal surface of the opposing arch.

Build one cone for each cusp tip using yellow wax

The support cusp tip contacts with opposing tooth when the articulator is closed .

The support cusp tip contacts with opposing tooth when the articulator is closed .

In maximum intercuspation, the support cusp occlude in an embrasure area and contact only one opposing marginal ridge.

During lateral canine guided movement the cone should no contact the opposing tooth.

Canine guidance NoNo contact

Establish the occlusal table,Build marginal ridges and cusp inclines in blue wax (fish mouth).

Triangular ridges are defined with red wax

Place the green wax to fill the rest of the anatomy.

Make sure that the width of the occlusal table is correct

Use waxing powder to disclose the location of the contacts.

Use shimstock to verify the strength of contacts. In maximum intercuspation.

In excursive movements there should be no contact.

Project has been completed.
