The DAB-22 Environmental Fuel Hydrant Pit Assembly provides a complete waterproof solution for fuel hydrant valves in the commercial airport sector. The Pit Assemblies are designed to fit all approved fuel hydrant types and guarantees a cleaner operating environment by eliminating dirt and debris. The aircraft load-rated HD8 hinged waterproof cover door can be easily lifted with one hand and provides 457mm/18in diameter clear access.

The DAB-22 has a unique Pit Cover which can be opened to 120 degrees, either retained in cover frame or removed completely.

The door can be constructed in Cast Aluminum (Grade A356.2, 14kg/30.86lbs effective lift weight) or Fiber-glass Acrylic Resin Composite (8kg/17.64lbs effective lift weight).

WhitepigmentedGRPwithinternalgel-coatfinish(non-toxic,non-galvanic,non-sparking)ensuresmaximumreflectionoflightfacilitatingmaintenanceandcleaninginsidethePitAssembly. On request the pit can also be constructed in fabricated steel (Grade 34A) which can be coated to customer specification.

PitAssemblycanbesuppliedwithbothbottomandsideentryfuelriseroptions. Innovativedesignfeatureallowseasyreplacementofultra-highlevel(100mm/4inbelow

apron) bellows seal, which is protected by aluminum cover assembly. The seal holds 3m+ head ofwater(4.8psi)withoutadhesiveormechanicalfixings.

PitAssemblyfeaturesalargeliquidcontainmentandmaintenanceaccessarea. DAB22Pitassembliesarenormallysuppliedunassembledforsiteassemblycompletewith

optional site installation kits to ensure centralisation of the riser inlet flange and to establish the correct inlet flange to apron dimension. However the pits can be supplied fully factory assembled, complete with site installation kit, for optimum site installation.
