Guidelines for course specification
The course specification template contain Seven main items, these items are given in courses specification template, these are: A. Basic information (Course Identification and General
Information) B. The overall aims of the course (Objectives) C. The course content (Course Description) 1- Topics to be covered 2- Its intended learning outcomes (ILOs) 3- Teaching and learning methods 4- Student assessment methods D. Student Academic Counseling and Support E. A list of books and references F. The facilities required for teaching and learning. G. Course Evaluation and Improvement Processes
The Teaching and Learning Methods
The methods which are used by teachers to
students to achieve the ILOs for the course
Identify the methods used in delivering the course
such as:
1) Lectures

General and transferable skills
Skills of a general nature, which can be
applied in any subject area, include:
1)Written and oral communication
2)The use of new technological tools
3)Group working
4)Problem solving
5)Management, …………..etc
1. List major objectives of the program within to help achieve the mission. For each
measurable objective describe the measurable performance indicators to be followed and list
the major strategies taken to achieve the objectives.
