Dear Peter

Welcome and a big thank you for joining the MS Sydney to the Gong Ride - the ride to fight MS! I’m so

excited to have you on board this year. You are part of an exclusive group of riders who are taking part in

this incredible sell-out event - so you have made a great choice.

My name is Stephen Papadopoulos and I’m the MS Gong Ride Ambassador - and I’m also a person living

with MS. I was diagnosed at age 22 in 2001 and I will be riding alongside you for the first time in 2018.

Living with multiple sclerosis is tough. It can be even harder when you have

an invisible symptom like pain. Every day is an effort and a challenge, just like

the MS Sydney to the Gong ride. I live with constant pins and needles in both

my hands and feet, sharp stabbing pains in my arms, legs, neck and lower

back and a burning sensation over my entire body. I’m often laughing and

smiling though and people ask me why. How can I not be when I see 10,000

cyclists taking part in this epic ride and fundraising to support people like me?

Because of you, thousands of Aussies living with multiple sclerosis can get the

vital support they need to meet their goals, live well, and their journey will not

be undertaken alone. I really can’t thank you enough for making a difference

for people living with MS.

By riding 82km and reaching or surpassing your goal of $250, you will make your ride count in 2018! Please

check out the enclosed Event Guide and other handy resources for easy ways to get started.

Don’t forget that our MS Events Team are here to help you every step of the way. Please get in touch with us

on 1300 733 690 or at events@ms.org.au for any of your event and fundraising questions.

I can’t wait to see you on November 4!

Kind Regards,

Stephen Papadopoulos
