Why Install in New Order?

• Sage PFW OEM Pervasive 9.1 installs a required HotFix regardless of the order installed

• Sage PFW Server Install then:– Sets the file creation version to v7 file formats

– Copies Pervasive Client installation files to the server for easy access

– Installs Pervasive OLE DB

– Sets the Embedded Spaces check box to unchecked

• Sage PFW Client Install– Sets registry setting to allow installation of

AuditMaster 6.3

What to Expect, if it’s Not…

• Embedded Spaces not Unchecked– 'Error 449 Argument not optional’ occurs when

launching Sage PFW– Resolution ID 1035: In Pervasive Control Center

on file server, uncheck Embedded Spaces

• HotFix for Pervasive 9.1 not installed– Lookup queries appear to hang in Advanced

Lookup Engine (ALE), with no timeout message– Resolution ID 467322: Verify the HotFix for

Pervasive 9.1 has installed properly.

• Installs Pervasive OLE DB – Company setup will not be able to successfully

create DSNs, which are necessary for ALE and Customer Insights.

FRx Installation

• Current 6.7 installations: Download and install R06 from Sage Software Online

• Current 6.5 installations: Upgrade from the FRx 6.7 RO6 CD, received with Sage PFW 5.5
