CONFIDENCE. CHARACTER. LEADERSHIP. Club Cotillion

Club Cotillion is excited to announce the schedule for the 6th Annual Club Cotillion for upcoming 7th grade students. JDW Social Education Programs (based in Denver, Colorado has instructed across the U.S. for over 65 years) is directing a series of five classes. The purpose is to offer our children the opportunity to develop their skills beyond academic knowledge.

The instructors are dedicated to convincing students that how they act is not only a reflection of their character; it is also a demonstration of their education. Wherever you go, whatever you do, whoever you meet—social skills are essential for establishing successful relationships. Topics include: Why Social Skills Matter, First Impressions & Introductions, Communication—verbal, non-verbal & tech, Teamwork & Leadership, Dining Etiquette & Table Manners, Character & Codes of Conduct. The students will learn traditional, Latin and contemporary dances. The dance education is one of the best tools to break-down inhibitions, instill self-confidence and develop mutual respect between girls and boys in a structured healthy environment. Dances with variations include: Fox Trot, Waltz, Jitterbug, Salsa, Cha Cha and, Texas Two-Step. A dress code is required. Girls are required to wear an appropriate dress or skirt that is not more than 3” above the knee. Please wear a shrug if shoulder straps are less than 2 fingers in width. Shoes should have heels less than 2” high. Please no tunic over leggings, flip flops or backless shoes. Boys are required to wear a traditional suit or sport coat and tie. Shirts should be tucked in and shoes appropriate for dancing. Please no sneakers, boots, cargo pants or ‘no show’ socks. Enrollment is $245 (includes dinner on April 24th). Registration is determined on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is limited based on maximum numbers and an equal ratio of boys to girls. We encourage you to register early.

Registration begins October 29th at 10:00 a.m. at cotillion.com. Click Schedules & Registration and follow the steps until you see the program with the schools listed above.

We look forward to this FUN experience where the students will gain social skills to benefit them—now and in their future. Based on the success of JDW Social Education Programs—we enthusiastically welcome them and believe you will too.
