...but Agile is not Project Management

Agile …

Wait ... what ?

Studing

Teaching

Coaching

My method, with my coach, is to make a custom cycle for every problem : starting from a feedback (or simply an idea), I choose if I need to study, if we need an experiment, a solution (yes sometimes a solution is really needed !!!) or if I only need to share my own answers/thoughts with him.

“It will be a cakewalk!”

“DAMN! Forget comfort zone!”

BECOMING AGILE -  it’s a hard work -  doesn’t happen in a moment -  there’s no “secret formula”, just find your way -  can’t be reduced to a matter of practices or

discipline (Beware of people saying “we have always been Agile!”)

In Dev Team:

Collaboration, conversation for real, exchange of views

In Product Owners:

Understand needs behind wants “Show me the value!”

Management:

•  Define shared goal •  In charge, not in

control •  Empower teams

We Know the customers, their pains and gains

Business and tech in “creative partnership” achieve great results

We work together going in the same direction

Goal is clear

Experiment to bring different parties together (IT, product, marketing and customers)

They could jointly produce a mutually valued outcome

An Agile journey: start as a tourist, become a traveler

S/N = signal-to-noise ratio

BUSINESS to-FAILURE ratio

VALUE to-WASTE ratio

Be coach Training on

the job

I was a tree. An old, big tree.

Search into yourself

Wood isn’t simply wood

In each violin there is a bloodstain

Be agile in a waterfall world

Put your instruments

in good hands
