Providing Sensitive Care
This interactive, hands-on workshop demonstrates to educators and service leaders the
importance of listening to the “voice” of a child and how we can encourage and
facilitate this. This ultimately helps to foster healthy and positive relationships and
supports a child’s ability to self-regulate and manage challenging behaviours.
Being presented “through the eyes of a child”, this workshop is about changing the
perspective from which we approach care and education for little people in the early
education and care setting. This approach then forms the foundation of all the care we
provide for children, including education plans, assessing child safety concerns, and
working with parents and carers.
