Changing Authentication: Users who need to bind their CAC card to an account where they previously used User ID/Password.

Internet Explorer

1. Open Internet Explorer.2. On the tool bar select Tools, then Internet Options.3. Select the Content Tab, select Certificates.4. Locate and click on the Authentication Certificate.5. Select Export, select Next, Next, Next, then Browse to save the file to your desk

top, select Next, then select Finish. This should be followed by a Successful export message.

When looking at your certificates, you need to export the Authentication Certificate, if this does not exist then select the Identification Certificate.Select (highlight) the certificate.Select the Export button.

Select Next on thee export wizard.

Select Next.

Select Next.

Select Browse.

Once you select Browse, this will allow you to pick a location and folder on your PC to save your certificate. Recommend you place this on you desktop and name the file your last name.Select Save.

Click Next.

Select Finish. Your Certificate should now be saved on your desktop.

Now log in to PIEE: https://piee.eb.mil

Once logged into PIEE, select My Account.

Select Change Authentication Type.

Select Common Access Card.

Select Choose File to navigate to your desktop where you saved the certificate.

Ensure your certificate name displays.Select Upload Cert.

This screen indicates that the CAC has now been bound to the account. Select Submit.

After logging out (top right) Logins to PIEE should now be done using the CAC login process.

If you would like to access other PIEE applications at this time, click on the PIEE title to be redirected to the PIEE Landing Page.
