CENTRALIAN ADVOCATE FORM GUIDE

Bonsai ready to bloom

Kevin Lamprecht will have Bonsai Boy running in theSouthern Cross TV Maiden on Sunday

THE Kevin Lamprecht-trainedBonsai Boy looks hard to beat atPioneer Park on Sunday afternoon.

He will step out in the SouthernCross TV Maiden Hcp (1100m) andmight just be the horse to change thefortunes of the stable.

Lamprecht has one win on the boardthis season, a string of minor placingshave plagued the stable.

Bonsai Boy made his race debut atPioneer Park in mid-October when hecontested an 1100m Maiden Hcp.

He was all at sea that day but hiswork over the final 200m was good.

He gained a tremendous amount ofknowledge through that effort and itshowed next time out.

Bonsai Boy faced the starter threeweeks later and despite being beaten,he gave warning of things to come.

He came from well back but finishedvery strongly in running second be-hind Mystic Obsession, while Saint

Pulse ran third.

Those two horses have both wonsince and the form lines that runthrough Bonsai Boy will add a touch ofconfidence to punters on Sunday.

Craig Lloyd, who has based himselfin Alice Springs for the final fewmeetings this year will partner BonsaiBoy.

Good galloper Ripley has been dis-appointing in three runs back from aspell and there is no denying it.

He looked like a pretty smart horsewhen he arrived here but never quitereached the top of his hill.

He gets the services of in formapprentice Raymond Vigar on Sundayand that may be the key that unlocksthe best of Ripley’s ability.

He worked home well last weekbehind Princess Zietta, and if there isanother race in him it might be thisweek when he takes on the OAMPSInsurance Hcp (1200m).

The Will Savage-trained Lago Comowon a three horse Maiden last Sundayby four lengths.

He will line up again on Sunday inthe Unibet hcp (1200m) and he willhave to go up a level or two to win, butI think he can.

He will be handled by Phillip Crichon Sunday.

Lago Como is a former Victoriangalloper and he will win a few raceshere before his time is up.
