PRILIMINARY REPORT ON VISUAL MERCHANDIZING OF STORES

• Placement of fixtures like wall units (Dullabs) is unorganized• One wall bays is missing• Bottom shelf of wall units are not maintained properly

Before……

• Chaotic merchandize layout & wherein fixtures are dumped with merchandise• No Segregation of the department• Orange colour of venetian blinds is also eating up the colour collage of products

• Rx department is also arranged by supplier name• Rx counters are mainly carrying either expensive items or extra medicines• No provision to promote impulse buy at check out counter• Monotonous shelves disregards the size & nature of the products

• Haphazard merchandise layout creates confusion on retail floor• Not even a single signage inside the store to guide customer• Potential space like end display on gondolas is also not used• Longitudinal placements of gondola making one side blind to the customers

• Potential spaces for visual like the space above wall units is occupied by diapers• No dedicated space for promotional or slow moving items on retail floor• Fixtures are not able to accommodate all sorts of merchandise conveniently & effectively• No Cleanliness – the products, fixtures & floor are not at all cleaned regularly

• The outside sign board soiled and loosing brightness• Potential spaces like shop window are blank• No properly drawn parking bays
