For the

Father judgeth no man; but hath committed all judgment unto the Son; [John 5:22]

And shall all be judged of the Son of Man. For as I

hear, I judge, and my judgment is just; [John 5:30]

…all men shall stand before him, to be judged, at the last and judgment day, according to their works. [Alma 16:197]

And he said unto me, Thou remembereth the twelve apostles

of the Lamb? Behold they are they who shall judge the twelve tribes of Israel:

Know ye not

that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? [1 Corinthians 6:2-3]

Do ye not

know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

These are they that are redeemed of the Lord; yea,

these are they that are taken out, that are delivered from that endless night of darkness; and thus they

stand or fall; for behold, they are their own judges,

whether to do good or do evil. [Alma 19:70]

and liars, and hypocrites shall be proved by them, and they who are not apostles and prophets shall be known. [Sec 64:7c-d]

Behold, I, the Lord, have made my church in

these last days, like unto a judge sitting on a hill, or in a high place, to judge the nations; for it shall come to pass, that the inhabitants of Zion shall judge all things pertaining to Zion;

Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It

was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you; but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. [Acts 13:46]

…ten

thousand times ten thousand stood before him; the judgment was set, and the books were opened. [Daniel 7:10]

He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my

words, hath one that judgeth him; the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. [John 12:48]

that judgment must begin at the house of God; and if it first

begin at us, what shall

the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

And if the righteous

scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

I, the Lord, am angry with the wicked; I am holding

my Spirit from the inhabitants of the earth.

I have sworn in my wrath

and decreed wars upon the face of the earth, and the wicked shall slay the wicked, and fear shall come upon every man, and the

Saints also shall hardly escape;

…nevertheless, I, the Lord, am with them, and will come down in heaven from the presence of my Father, and consume the wicked with unquenchable fire.

And, behold, this is not yet, but by and by;

Be wise in the

days of your probation;

strip yourselves of all uncleanness; ask not, that ye may consume it on your lusts, but ask with a firmness unshaken, that ye will yield to no temptation, but that

ye will serve the true and living God.

Wherefore, if ye have sought to do

wickedly in the days of your probation, then ye are found unclean before the judgment seat of God;

And no unclean thing

can dwell with God; wherefore ye must be cast off for ever. [1 Nephi 3:34-35]

All flesh is

not the same flesh; but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

Also Celestial bodies, and bodies Terrestrial, and

bodies Telestial; but the glory of the celestial, one; and the terrestrial, another; and the telestial, another. [1 Corinthians 15:39-40]

There is one glory of

the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differeth from another star in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead.

What is a “Glory”?

The Hebrew word for “glory” is Kabod; it basically

means weight. The Greek word is Doxa.

In science it would be the mass of an object of matter.

It is the substance of a person or thing. For God, it is who He is, His character and power.

We know that God is love, [1stJohn 4:16]; love is God’s character and power.

God’s glory manifests and reveals His love.

What is the meaning of the word “Glory"?

Funk & Wagnalls, New Standard Dictionary of the English Language, under "glory", gives the religious symbolic meaning as follows:

The complete representation of an emanation of light from the person of a sanctified being;

the quality of being radiant or shining; brilliancy brightness; luster; as the glory of the sun; Glory is the general term for the aureola and the nimbus"—aureola being the halo or ring round the sun, and nimbus being the sun-disc.

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord

is risen upon thee. [Isaiah 60:1]

The sun shall be

no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee; but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. [Isaiah 60:19]

Thy sun shall no

more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself; for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. [Isaiah 60:20]

And the city had

no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it; for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. [Revelation 21:23]

The light of the body is the eye; if

therefore thine eye be single to the

glory of God, thy whole body shall be full of light. [Matthew 6:22]

And if your eye be single to my glory, your whole

bodies shall be filled with light, and there shall be no darkness in you, and that body which is filled with light comprehendeth all things. [Sec 85:18a]

The glory of God is intelligence, or, in

other words, light and truth;

and light and truth forsaketh that evil one. [Sec 90:6a]

The Hebrew word “Halal"

is used to describe glory and wisdom.

But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he

understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise loving-kindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth; for in these things I delight, saith the Lord. [Jeremiah 9:24]

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of

glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; [Ephesians 1:17]

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened;

that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,… [Ephesians 1:18]

For, behold, I am about to call upon them to

give heed to the light and glory of Zion, for the set time has come to favor her. [App 107A:1e]

these are they who deny not the Holy Spirit; these are they who are thrust down to hell; these are they who shall not be redeemed from the Devil, until the last resurrection, until the Lord, even Christ the Lamb, shall have finished his work; [Sec 76:7c-e]

inhabitants of the telestial world, that they were as innumerable as the stars in the firmament of heaven, or as the sand upon the seashore, and heard the voice of the Lord saying:

These all shall bow the knee, and every tongue

For he who is not able to abide the law of a Celestial

For he must reign, till

am He, the beginning and the end, the Redeemer of the world:

I having accomplished and finished the will of him

whose I am, even the Father, concerning me; having done this, that I might subdue all things unto myself;

retaining all power, even to the destroying of Satan and his works at the end of the world, and the last great day of judgment, which I shall pass upon the inhabitants thereof, judging every man according to his works, and the deeds which he has done. [Sec 18:1a-c]

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the

night, in the which the heavens shall shake, and the earth also shall tremble, and the mountains shall melt, and pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall be filled with fervent heat; the earth also shall be filled, and the corruptible works which are therein shall be burned up. For verily there shall be new heavens, and a new

earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

And there shall be no unclean thing; for the earth

becoming old, even as garment, having waxed in corruption, wherefore it vanisheth away, and the footstool remaineth sanctified, cleansed from all sin. [Luke 17:39-40]

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for

the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. [Revelation 21:1]

And there shall be a new heaven and a new

earth; and they shall be like unto the old, save the old have passed away, and all things have become new. [Ether 6:9]

For, behold, I

create new heavens and a new earth; and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. [Isaiah 65:17]

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on
