Advertising and publishing Agency ‘Enira Media’ with the cooperation of the Ministry of Culture released the issue ‘Bulgaria: 7 civilizations, 70 centuries’. The reason was the meeting of UNESCO in Sofia in 2008. 2009 was the year of Bulgaria in Russia so that it was published in bilingual versions Bulgarian-English and Bulgarian- Russian. For over 7000 years – or more than 70centuries – 7 different civilization have existed on Bulgarian lands.The number 70 symbolizes the discovery of the unique ritual centre Perperikon dated from between 7000 and 8000 years. The spectacular archeological finds of recent years have further enriched our notion of Bulgaria’s cultural historical heritage, and have made the country an attractive destination for a great number of admirors of World cultural heritage.
