LEGEND OF WALES RED DRAGON

According to the tradition, the origin of the red dragon flag pictured in Wales comes from an ancient conflict between these two beasts, a white and a red dragon. The white dragon is said to be the incarnation of evil. There was a problem, and it was that the constant clashes between these two dragons caused human damage, and if a human listened to the sound of these dragons fighting, the human would live without descendants.

Llud, the monarch of Great Britain, decided to find a solution to this big conflict and he asked for help to his wise brother Llefelys. He thought to dig a big hole in the centre of the kingdom and then fill it of mead, for dragons to get drunk and be easier to defeat. His plan functioned half, because both beasts got caught during centuries, but they stayed alive.

A long time after, a new king called Gwrtheyrn decided to build a castle above the prision of dragons, discovering both creatures in his captivity. Gwrtheyrn asked for help to the illoustrious wizard Merlin, who advised him to release the beasts so that they could continue with their battle. When they were free, the fight between them finished with the victory of the red dragon. Because of it, there is a red dragon in the Welsh flag.

4 - Being a nocturnal creature, sunlight is annoying for them.

5- Vampires can transform into any mammal bat and that allows them to fly.

6- Vampires are not reflected in the mirrors because they haven´t a soul.

7- Vampires hate crosses because for them it is a spiritual weapon against them.

ANKOU.

The Ankou was a grim harvester of souls from the dark side of Britain, once believed to ride the dark lanes of Brittany in search of unwary travellers and the benighted.

Both in this country as in Germany, it was said that these items were also hunting the souls of the unbaptized, and in France, similar legends say that King Herod prosecutes the Holy Innocents.

Thus, over time, the legends were modified, and the nineteenth century hunts souls became the devil who had souls, or if applicable, any villain executed, along with some howling dogs, in an eternal journey to hell.

Witches

The legend The legend of the Witch of Wookey Hole

is the story of a cave. The legend says that during the Middle Age people threw all the blame for everything that went wrong in the village on an old woman who lived alone in the deep, dark caves of Wookey Hole. The villagers believed that the witch cast spells and misfortune. Finally, people decided to seek help from a monk to exorcise the spirit of the witch.

In the darkness, he saw the witch leaning over her cauldron. He tried to talk to her, shouthing curses and spells but she fled to the depths of the cave, along a narrow passage called the Stairway to Hell. Brother Bernard took some water from the river, blessed it and threw it on the witch, turning her into stone.
