Chemicals & Post-Treatment
Post Treatment• Current post treatment is re-mineralisation using calcite • Chemical consumption per month at 20,000m³/day of potable water produced
• Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) 48t/ month• Sodium Hypochlorite (NAOCl) 15t/ month • Sodium Meta bisulphate (SMBS) 3t/ month• Caustic Soda (NaOH) 16t/ month• Calcite 25t/ month

Electrical & Energy
Cyprus supply: 6MVa from Grid with main feed at 11Kv.
Plant Supply :• 2x 11KV transformers (and supply to the 3 HP pumps is at 11Kv)• 2 x 690V transformers (and 2 x 400V feeds) • Total design energy consumption - 4.37KWh/m³• Actual total consumption for last quarter was - 4.23KWh/m³ • UF and RO energy consumption - 3.50KWh/m³
NOTE : Product water is delivered into the customer’s major water conveyor pipeline 1400m and 60m uphill from the plant and had to design against conveyor a back pressure + head losses of up to 30Bar. Therefore our 4 delivery pumps are higher pressure consumers than may be normal.

Bridging the ‘Water Gap’A Flexible, Interim Response
• Fast, low impact installation, removal, demobilisation or relocation• Limited onshore facilities • Mobile, multi-location if required • Offshore location• Volumes from 10,000m³ to 150,000m³• Low environmental impact and shorter approval process• Shore power or self contained energy solutions• Contract for short to medium term durations • Flexibility around financial & commercial structures
Elements Affecting Price
• Site & Civil Engineering - 5000-6000 m2 site required near the coast• Input & Output Water Quality - e.g. Pre-treatment needs, 1 or 2 pass RO• Cost of Energy & How Treated - e.g. ‘pass through’ or full cost , fixed or variable
Utilise 3.2-3.5 kwh/m3 for RO process• Environmental Conditions - e.g. extent of reinforcement; protection required • Intake/Discharge Pipelines – e.g. length; nature of seabed; currents/tides• Onshore Delivery Pipeline – e.g. length, terrain, interconnection issues , reservoir• Local Regulations & Permissions – e.g. planning, access, rights of way• Guaranteed Minimum Water Quantities• Contract Duration or Sale of Plant• Commercial Structure of the Contract • Local Contractors & Expertise • Local Partnering Possibilities
Conclusion
• Produced over 20 million cubic metres• Delivered on time• Fastest execution to date• Plant available immediately• Reassembled within 4-6 months• Developed innovative offshore & onshore mobile desalination
