TaleDo you enjoy happy endings? If so,
The Bad Beginningby Lemony Snicket is a
book youll want to avoid. This is a story witha bad beginning, a bad middle and a bad

The Bad Beginning is a story about the suffering
of three orphaned siblings at the hands of their uncle,
Count Olaf. Although Violet, Klaus and Sunny are theinheritors of an enormous fortune, they cannot claim the
money until they are older. For now, they must live with
Olaf and cook and clean for him and his terrible theater
friends. Why would such a cruel character take in threeorphans? He wants to steal their fortune, of course.

I cant tell you how the story ends, but I can tell you
what I enjoyed most about the book. Snicket makes his
readers laugh and want to continue reading, even in the
most terrible situations. For example, he constantly warns
his reader to put down the book because nothing good could
possibly come of the orphans unfortunate situation. He
writes: It is my sad duty to write down these unpleasant
tales, but there is nothing stopping you from putting this bookdown at once Of course, Snickets warnings only made
me even more curious to find out what would become of the
siblings in the end.

Will Olafs evil plot win out? Or will
these three crafty kids outwit him? If
youre not afraid of a little misery and a
whole lot of mischief, then I recommend
you read The Bad Beginning and find
out for yourself.

A Wind in the Doorby Madeleine LEngle
This book is part of a set of three
fantastic-adventure stories about the Murry
family and young Cal OKeefe. They seem
ordinary at first, but their experiences soon
prove very unusual.

'The Net' Makes Us Feel Our Future is Threatened
by Akiko Nakano
Are you thinking of committing a computer
crime? If you are, you should watch the movie"The Net" first because hacking can be very
dangerous and give our society fear or tragedy.
You should consider this before you commit your
crime.
In the beginning of the movie "The Net",
Angela, who is a beta tester, is at home in front of
a computer, but when she presses "Enter" thescreen goes crazy, tossing up pages of
confidential government files.

From here things start happening. When she
went to Mexico on a vacation, she met one guy.
Angela came back from vacation, but her identityhad been switched with that of a criminal. From
this time, she is chased by the police. In spite of
the bad situation, she tried to get her true identity
and facts back.Sandra Bullock's acting made the movie
thrilling and attractive to us. She had various
expressions in the movie, so she did a good job in
her role as Angela.

The idea of "The Net" is that anybody can
lose his/her own identity in the computer. Thismovie conveyed the fear of hacking to us. I also
thought people could be in danger from hacking
into computers. However, today computers are
pervasive all over the world. I worry about whethercomputer crimes will increase or not.
