Suffixes Associated with the Nervous System
1. -plegia
This suffix refers to paralysis.An example of it’s use is the word
‘paraplegia’ or ‘paraplegic’ referring to theparalysis of two things, such as limbs.
5. -phasia
This suffix refers to speech.
Some examples of it’s use are:“aphasic” meaning without speech, or unable to
speak, and“dysphasia” meaning difficult speech.
