Those im-paired by sickness or old age many also request the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. Please call Janet at the Assumption B.V.M. Parish Office at 822-3279. To help keep track of our parishioners, we ask that families, and neighbors too, let us know when a loved one or neighbor is homebound, in a nursing home or in an assisted living facility so that we can provide visits and care. Also, please let us know if someone is receiv-ing Hospice Care so Pastoral Care can be provided at this difficult time.
Classic Dinner & Auction Thank You
We would like to take this oppor-tunity to thank you for your gener-ous support of the 26th Annual Classic Din-ner and Auc-tion. With your help the evening was a great suc-cess, we raised needed funds to support our daily operations and the out-standing academics of our school at Assumption of the Blessed Vir-gin Mary. This event also provid-ed us an opportunity to strength-en our community of parents, alumni, business partners and friends, and the staff of the parish and school. With our mission in mind, many people have come together and taken part. We are truly thankful for that. It has been said that what we do with our time and money makes a state-ment as to what we believe in. We continue to make a difference in the lives of our children and value your support toward that effort. The total raised this year was just over $35,000!
Thank you for generously sharing by offering your support of our event this year. You have truly made a difference. As we look toward the future, Jeff and I will be stepping down as chairper-sons. It has been an honor to serve our parish and school so humbly. This leaves a vacancy to be filled so that this amazing fundraising function may contin-ue. On behalf of Assumption BVM Parish and School, we thank you and wish you God’s blessings.
Sincerely, Jeff and Jena Betley - Chairpersons

In our Diocese, we annually receive a grant from this collection for outreach for our parishes in Neopit & Keshena in their outreach and service to the Menominee Indian Tribe.
The Catholic University of America established by the Vati-can and U.S. Bishops, located in Washington D.C. is the National University of the Catholic Church. It provides an education guided by Catholic tradition to nearly 7,000 students every year. Every donat-ed dollar directly supports financial aid for students. One third of our U.S. Bishops are alumni, along with 12,400 priests. Thank you for your generosity.

Home Mission Collection
Our Own Needs
May 19-20
The four major beneficiaries repre-sented in this collection along with their purpose and mission are;
The Catholic Communications Campaign connects people with Christ through media programming to promote Gospel values. As people continue to access more information on mobile devices there is an increased need to pro-vide Faith resources on these plat-forms as well. This campaign sup-ports televised Masses and Catho-lic newspapers. Fifty percent of the funds collected remain in our diocese.
The Catholic Home Missions Appeal assists over 80 Home Mission dioceses in the United States. They are unable to fund the essential pastoral work needed in their communities. Your support helps ease the struggle of these dioceses and ensures the Gospel is spread across the United States. Basic services include Mass, the sacraments, and reli-gious education.

Volunteers Needed
HSHS St. Vincent’s and St. Mary’s Hospitals’ Pastoral Care Departments are in need of volunteer Eucharistic Ministers to distribute communion daily. Volunteers will have had training and are commissioned as Eucha-ristic Ministers within their parish. Eucharistic Ministers must be physically able to cover up to five floors in the hospital and bring communion to approximately 25 people. All new volunteers will shadow an experienced Eucharistic Minister until they feel comfortable to distribute communion alone.
HSHS St. Vincent hospital is also seeking volunteer chapel assistants to help set up and take down for mass, Monday-Friday at 7:30 am. They are looking for a variety of volunteers to take one or two days a month on a monthly rotation. They are also looking for a back-up to their linen volun-teer to wash, iron and return chapel linens once or twice a month. If inter-ested in any of these volunteer opportunities call Pastoral Care at 920-
433-8162.
