First, you have my sympathies. I’ve been battling insomnia for years. If you’re like me, and don’t want to take prescription medication for your insomnia I’d like to share a few things that have helped me get a

good night’s sleep every now and then.

Are You An Insomniac?

Take a Bath before Bedtime

Drink Herbal Decaffeinated Tea

Listen to Classical Music or Relaxation CDs

Do Some Deep Breathing Exercises or Meditate

Ask Your Partner to Give You a Massage before Bed

Eat a Low-Protein, High Carb Snack an Hour before Bed

Eat Foods High in the Amino Acid L-tryptophan (warm or hot milk , eggs, cottage cheese, chicken, turkey and cashews) an hour before Bed

Get Some Exercise during the Day

Keep a Regular Bedtime Schedule

If You Can’t Sleep, Get Up and Do Something Else

These are just some of the things that have helped me.
