t has always been our aim to construct A.J.S. Motor Cycleson such simple and straightforward lines that their manage-
ment, running and upkeep, shall present no difficulties, evento the motor cyclist with little or no previous experience.
Complications in the way of design have always beenstudiously avoided ; and this little booklet is intended to renderthe owner familiar with the salient features of the 3.49 h.p.A.J.S., and so enable him to get the best out of his machine.
The information givcn in the following pages has been verycarefully compiled in the hope that it will prove of assistanceto the rider in keeping his machine in the best possible condition,and aid him in elucidating any little difficulties which may arisefrom time to time.
The reader's attention is specially drawn to the pagesdetailed to Driving Instructions and General Care of theMachine, and particularly to those parts of the instructionswhich are emphasised by being printed in italica.
