Advertising billing decreased f rom $3,318 to $1,197 and lineage f rom 291/2 to 12 pages. Chemical companies continued to do the bulk of the ad- vertising, placing 7 pages of ads. Position announcements and Maine Seed Pota to ads round out the picture.
The loss of a long-time advertiser (PPG) because of a change in ad agencies continues to be felt. I have talked with the current and old agency, trying to pursuade them to do business with us. I also have been in touch with several other agencies and am hopeful that we can pick up new ac- counts.
Respectfully submitted,
Ronald Knight Advertising Manager

Whereas the University of Maine at Orono contributes so extensively to the conduct of the business and editorial affairs of The Potato Association of America; and The PAA members in Maine have so well arranged the de- tails of this 68th Annual Meeting; and the University of Maine at Presque Isle has so graciously opened its doors for us; and whereas the potato industry in Maine has made us welcome; therefore, be it resolved that The Potato As- sociation of America extends its appreciation to the Local Arrangements Committee, the Administrations of the University of Maine at Orono and Presque Isle, and the Maine Potato Industry. I move the adoption of this res- olution.
