AAO BSO MODULE

AAO BSO module is a server based project. It is developed byusing PHP (pre Hypertext Processor) as scripting language and mySQLas database. By using this module, an office of AAO BSO may have allrelevant data in respect of Building, Employee for which officegenerates revenues. This module will help in generation of automatedrevenues in pdf format and in csv format as per requirement.

INSTALLATION

At the very least, You will need:

Server : ApacheScripting Language : PHPDatabase : mySQL

To install AAO BSO module on a PC, you have to install all theabove software. For this here is an application which serves yourrequirement at one click. This application is known as WAMP(Windows Apache MySql Php) Server.

Very first step is to install Mozilla Firefox on your PC. Just do doubleclick & follow the instructions and do complete installation.

Now find a folder on your CD named as WAMP and open it, you willget an exe file named as WampServer2.1-x32.exe.

Double Click on the icon named WampServer2.0.C.exe and allow tooperating system to install on pc by clicking ‘Yes’.

A message box will pop up with certain information. Click ‘Yes’ buttonto continue the installation.

A setup wizard will start. Now click ‘Next’ Button

Accept the Agreement

Select Destination Location “C:\wamp” (default locationrecommended)

Now click on both options as shown on next screen for Create a QuickLaunch Icon and Create a Desktop icon.

Click the Button “Install”

Now click on Finish Button and WAMP Server is installed on your PC.You will find a shortcut on Desktop

By double click to WAMP shortcut, Server will start & the same can besee in your statusbar

Check whether WAMP Server icon in taskbar is white or not. If icon isnot white this means, Server is Offline & may be either Apache ormySQL service is not running. To put server online, left click onWAMP Server in taskbar.

Now right click ‘WAMP SERVER’ icon; A menu will open. Go to ‘PHP’

And then go to ‘PHP Settings’

And Uncheck ‘DISPLAY ERRORS’ for running script without anywarnings.

Now put your ‘WAMP SERVER’, Automatic start. For this follow thesesteps.

Open Control Panel

And open Administrative Tools

And open ‘Services’

And find Wampapache & Wampmysqlid, and right click towampapache, a menu will open. And select ‘Properties’

And select ‘START TYPE’ as Automatic from Manual

And now select wampmysqlid by doing a right click, a menu will openand select properties and put ‘Start type’ from ‘Manual’ to ‘Automatic’.

Check whether WAMP is working or not : Open Firefox browser andtype “http://localhost” and press enter; you will find following page

It shows your WAMP Server is installed correctly.

Now copy AAOBSO folder in “C:\wamp\www\”;

FIRST STEP: SETUP OF DATABASE

At this time, there is no database has been created. Now open Firefoxbrowser and type in address bar

http://localhost/AAOBSO/Temp/dataCreation.phpand press enter. Using this script will install database and tables inmySQL.

Wait till “Table creation completed” message. And click on Next

SECOND STEP : A new screen for entry of station will open. Herestation means name of the City where AAOBSO office is situated.

Enter a unique Station Code of three characters for Station Name.Code should be extracted from the Station Name.

THIRD STEP : Next screen is for entry of Location. Here Locationmeans AAO BSO office dealing with particular AO GE/ GEs.

Location Code must be unique. All fields are necessary.

FOURTH STEP: Next Screen is for entry of details of your AAO BSOOffice.

FIFTH STEP: Next Screen is for creation of user. Please note the UserID and Password for future login.

As your user id created, a new screen will open. & Press Next.

It will open home page of ‘AAO BSO Module’ or Open Mozilla Firefox.

Note: At this stage, Go to directory c:\wamp\www\AAOBSO anddelete ‘Temp’ folder.

Type in Address Bar of browser : “http://localhost/AAOBSO”

A Login Screen will be open. Now enter your user name & password.

A welcome screen will open along with options.

Select location i.e. for which location Master Entry /General Entry should be made

Next screen will open with available menus in Master Entry.

Now start with inserting/ updating data in master tables. Click on ‘Premise Master’.This master has data of premise/ campus name situated in area under your office.

Now click on ‘Pay Office Master ’ in left menu for updating of Pay Account OfficeName where Rent Bill etc pertains.

Now click on ‘Category Master’ for updating table of category. Here Category meansa Building pertains to which Service i.e. ‘Service Officer, ORs , Defence Civilian,Private Shops, Single Officers’ etc.

Now click on Designation Master. This form will save ‘Designation Name’ of DefenceCivilians. All the necessary Designation should be enter as per Defence CivilianService (i.e. for DAD, MES or Non-MES)

Now Click on Officer Classification. Here we upadate database in r/o a buildingpertains to which class of officer for a category. For example a building defencecivilian category may belong to Class-I / Class-II/Class-III etc officers and similarly abuilding may reserve to various rank (i.e. Officer Class) of Army Officer categorywhile under category private shops may have class like ‘Private’, ‘Mess’, ‘Canteen’etc.

Now click on Electric Charges and update Electric rates and Electric Duty applicableat your location for revenue generation. Here you can have maximum three slabs forcharging electric revenue.

Now click on Fixed Charge. This will create a database for charging fixed chargebasis on Electric load. Here Load Multiplier caters the future need as and when Fixedcharges will change then put a multiplier here & update it.

Now click on ‘Fixed Charges : Service/ORs’. In the earlier page we updated numberof load available in your location and To fix which load pertains to which Rank inService Officers & which load pertains to NCO/JCO for ORs, this page cater thisneed.

Now Click on ‘Fixed Charge : Civilians ’. This page map load factors as per quartertype.

Now click on ‘Unit Master’, This page updates database of Unit/Office Name. Thismaster is used during entering first time data entry for any Private Party asUnit/Office may be ‘Lessor’ and also used when its revenue is generated.

Now click on ‘BSO Master’; this page update database for BSO office under yourOffice to whom a rent bill in r/o Private party is sent.

Now click on ‘Rates for Private Party’, this is for calculating revenue of private party.

Now expand Building Master Node of Menu in left side of screen and click on ‘Add aRecord’.

A form will open for Adding a record in Building Master.

Enter all the necessary field & then save it.

A next screen will open with confirmation of record added successfully.

This screen has options for editing/Deleting a Record from Building Master.

Records can be searched on any parameter available in table on the screen.

On clicking Edit button, a form will open of that record in edit mode.

On clicking View Master under Building Master, A screen will open with all records.Records can be sorted either Ascending or Descending on header of table havingoption of sorting.

On clicking node having title of Search A Record, A search screen will be opened &can be searched on two parameters having AND & OR logical operators.

On clicking node having title of Add a Record under Employee master, A screen forcapturing data of Employee will open.

After entering all fields in the form, Record may be saved by clicking ‘SAVE’ button.

And next screen will open with confirmation of record saved successfully or not.

Same as in Building Master, One can add or delete a record from Employee Masterby clicking EDIT/ DELETE button of respective record.

On clicking node having title of View Master under Employee master, All the recordsirrespective of services will be shown.

And records may be filter by entering desired field’s name/property.

On clicking on Add a Record under Private Party, A from will open for adding a newrecord for Private Party. Here Private Party’s Name will be entered against thevacant building available.

After making all entry to respective field, Save the record by clicking ‘SAVE’ Button.

A confirmation of record saved successfully or not will be opened.

Record can be filtered on as it can be done earlier in Building Master/ EmployeeMaster.

For General entry, Click on Home.A welcome screen will open having option of Location and Entry option.

A screen will open with available menu in General Entry.

Note : Here menu will redirect to you for ‘Service Officers’. & if you want to makeentry for ‘Other than Service Officer ’ i.e. (ORs, DAD, Defence Civilian) then click anybutton and then go through left side tree menu.

Clicking on any menu one can go directly to that page. For example, Click on‘Allotment of Accommodation’A form will open for Allotment of Commissioned Officer. This page consist ofRetention and Cancellation Tab also.

Allotment can be made against an employee who exists in Employee Master underCommissioned Officer & of Category Married.

After Saving a record, a screen will open having records entered in current monthand status as ‘ALLOTED’.

Record of Allotment/ Cancellation/ Retention can be fetched for different period also.

Retention of Accommodation is available against an employee whose allotment hasbeen done earlier.

Similarly, Cancellation of Accommodation can be done against Allotment / Retentionhas been done of an Employee.

On Clicking ‘Occupation Details ’ under occupation / vacation, a form will openhaving option of Services

Form will show all details of employee against his Personal Number, if allotment hasbeen made.

After saving a record, next screen will open having data in tabular form & the samecan be filtered on any parameter available in Table.

On Clicking Vaccation Details, A form likely to Occupation Details will open. And theform will process, it employee has occupied an accommodation.

For Revenue Details entry, Click on License Fee/ Other Charges. A Screen will openhaving service option and input details for which revenue is to be recovered.

After providing requisite details, a form in tabular will open for entry of revenue detailswhich are to be recovered.

This page will consist all the records of all Quarter of particular premise. By clickingon checkbox, make entry for Electricity, Power, Water.

A confirmation page will appear.

For License Fee & Bill generation, Click on License Fee under node ‘License Fee/other Charges.’

Page will open with option ‘Generate OV Return’ or ‘Generate Quarterly Statement’.

Selecting ‘Generate O V Return’, A next form will open having Month and year forwhich an entry has been done.

Next screen will appear with all the records of Occupation / Vacation entered in thedesired month

By Clicking ‘Generate Quarterly Statement ’, a option for service will be available forwhich revenue bill is to be generate.

A next screen will appear having information of Month/ Year for which revenue bill isto be generated.

After generating a bill, a screen will appear with all records for which revenue detailshas been entered.

A forwarding memo can be generated for the particular Month/Year.

A combined PDF of all records can be saved or viewed. At the same time CSV canbe saved for all records.

For Revenue Generation of Private Party, Click on ‘Revenue’ under Private Partynode, Following screen will open. Fill the information for which Premise/ Period andReference a revenue is to be generate for Private Party.

Click on Continue, It will take to you next page where all the Private Party will be list.Check the combo box & fill all the relevant field.

After filling information, click on ‘Generate Revenue’, A page will appear forconfirmation.

Now for rent bill generation, Click on ‘License Fee ’ under License Fee/ OtherCharges node.

To view/ download rent bill for particular Private Party, click on ‘View’ of respectivePrivate Party.

A PDF file open containing forwarding Memo to respective BSO & other details likerecovery / Charges.

Now click on Occupation Details under ‘Other Service ’ node . A page will option ofService to which Occupation has to be maintained.

Now clicking any service (for example here DAD Personnel), a page will openconsisting all the officers/staff whose allotment cum occupation has to be done, intabular form.

Fill up all the necessary input field & save it. A confirmation page will appear &display all records related to service in r/o Occupation.

For Revenue Generation of DAD Personnel, Click on ‘Make a Recovery’ underLicense Fee/ Other Charges node. An option page with certain required field willopen.

After giving all the inputs, press continue and it will redirects you to recovery page ofService (here DAD Personnel).

Complete this recovery page & press Generate Revenue, it will take to you next pageafter doing calculation on giving input.

Now to generate rent bill of other services(ORs, DAD, Non-DAD), Click on ‘LicenseFee’ under ‘License Fee / Other Charges’, An option form will open.

Select ‘Generate Quarterly Statement’ and then select ‘DAD Personnel’ & then pressbutton titled ‘Generate’.

Pressing on ‘Generate PDF’, a consolidated revenue detail will be open with option ofSave It or Open With.

The above process as done for Service : DAD Personnel, the same process is forService ‘ORs/ Defence Civilians’ for Allotment cum Occupation Details, RecoveryDetails & Revenue Generation.
