AND ABBS CONFERENCE
ORGANIZED BY ASSOCIATION OF BRICS BUSINESS SCHOOLS (ABBS)
The BRICS Students Meets bring together MBA students from member
institutions in BRICS in a forum featuring a variety of activities such as
presentations by student delegates, business games, a quiz contest, debating
competition, cultural program of culture, music and dance staged by participants to
project the vast diversity that characterizes BRICS.
This year the seventh BRICS Student Meet is organized in Moscow and hosted by
the Network AML/CFT Institute.

Network Anti-Money Laundering and
Counter Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT)
Institute and the Association of BRICS
Business Schools (ABBS) has been signed in
Paris, February 2014.
Deep financial/economic crisis and urgent
need in creating a variety of financial
institution, focusing more on growing
economies, such as BRICS, defines a complete new agenda for business education,
intellectual and economical partnership between countries. This makes the
conference on “Risks and threats to the BRICS Economies” timely and relevant
event, helping to shape new frames of business-education. Partnership with the
Network AML/CFT Institute opens many opportunities for cooperation, academic
mobility of students and professors and principally new way of business education
international cooperation the sphere of AML/CFT.

CONFERENCE ACTIVITIES
STUDENTS’ PROJECT
Each school presents their own view on the suggested topic:
TOPIC: International financial/economic regulator of the future
OBJECTIVE: propose a fresh look on the new regulator, naming targets, tasks,
functions and tools/methods of it.
CHALLENGES TO CONSIDER:
- Current unipolar financial and economic order
- Instability of the current world financial system
- Potential threats to the existence of civilization
- Non-compliance of current organizations, their goals and task, they should
serve and resolve.
- Other relevant discrepancies (need to be specified by teams)
Recommendation is to limit the presentation to 20 mins. There are no special
limitation on the form of presentation, as well as number of presenters (if
necessary delegation from the same school can split into several groups).
TALENT SHOW
In order to share cultural diversity students are invited to perform on the Talent
show. All students are welcome to take a proactive part. Show can be in any form,
with any number of performers. Preferably, show/performance should include
some specific ethnic things (e.g. lullaby, famous games, tricks, dances and etc.)
Time limit per show is 10 min max. Please, take your own stage props; should you
need any assistance from our side – let us know in advance info@brics-abbs.org
SPORTIVE COMPETITION
Please, make sure to take sportive shoes with you and some kind of sportive
clothes, or at least the one which does allow to actively move.
No serious athletic workout is planned, just activities for fun. Depending on
weather conditions it can be outdoor or indoor.

CONFERENCE MATERIALS
There are three proposed ways for presenting your work on the conference:
1 – Giving a speech on the forum speech sessions (supported by hand-outs
upon your wish)
2 – Poster session (about 70 electronic poster-boards are available)
3 – Academic papers, case studies, best/reflective practices
The main topic of the conference is “RISKS AND THREATS TO THE BRICS
ECONOMIES”.
Therefore, the following sub-topics are suggested to be considered:
1. Perspectives and strategic priorities of BRICS in the world economy
2. Partnership of BRICS countries as a powerful factor of global development,
the multiplier effect of the BRICS
3. The steady growth of BRICS countries and risks of international financial
markets:
a. Development of financial measures for Anti-Money Laundering and
Counter Financing of Terrorism (ALM/CFT)
b. Establishing a comprehensive, economic and legal approach for risks and
threats evaluation in the field of ALM/CFT
4. Technological problems of confrontation and competitiveness between
countries
a. Strategy of technological and innovative integration of the BRICS countries
b. Resource potential and partnership in BRICS
c. IT and Communication technologies as an intermediary between developed
and developing countries
d. Information security of BRICS
5. Education and research, development of educational connections in the
BRICS countries: the integration processes in the field of education and
science
a. The role of BRICS business schools in shaping of new principles of the
global financial/economical regulation
6. Socio-economic dynamics of the BRICS countries
a. Demography trends/dynamic of the BRICS countries
7. Simulation scenarios social-economic development

PANEL DISCUSSION/FORUM SPEECH SESSION
To ensure success of the agenda speech time is limited to 10 mins.
See above the suggested topics for the speech. However, you are free to propose
your own subject, which is on your opinion supporting the main topic of the
conference.
Based on the number of applications, we will take into consideration the number of
speeches and keep you informed of latest arrangements. Please, communicate to us
your speech subject at info@brics-abbs.org
POSTER SESSION
Alternatively, your work can be presented on the electronic poster board. Posters
enable conference attendees to grasp the essentials of the subject in a short time
frame.
Electronic posters are prepared in English, displayed in PowerPoint format. In
addition, an electronic copy of your poster will be available on the website. Three
best posters’ authors will be elected to present their work to the whole conference
in a speech on the last day.
CALL FOR PAPERS
Academic papers as well as case studies or best/reflective practices are acceptable
for the conference.
Authors* are invited to submit the abstract before 1st of November and the full
version of the paper before 12th of November in Microsoft Word format to
info@brics-abbs.org All papers, including short communique and posters, will be
published in conference materials and available in electronic version on the site
after the conference.
The Organizing Committee will select papers to be published in the “Scientific
Visualization” electronic journal (Scopus base). Please mind that there are
additional requirements based on journal style and interests.
* At least one of the authors should be registered for the conference and present the papers on the conference in order to have it
published. By submitting the work to the conference committee, author(s) make(s) commitment that the work is original, do not
violate any laws and was not published in any matter before.

COST AND SERVICES
Five students are free of charge for each university. Sponsors cover
accommodation and meal costs during their stay; students will be hosted in MEPhI
Campus.
Professors from ABBS partners’ universities are invited to stay in the nearby hotel
“Intourist Hotel Kolomenskoe” http://intourist-kolomenskoe.ru/en/
Rooms for conference participants are already reserved (a special fee incl.
breakfast is negotiated). There is no need in any booking from your side.
Please, specify in a due time if there is a need in vegetarian menu.
TRANSFER FROM/TO THE AIRPORT
Based on your registration information, several pick-up points will be organized in
the airports. Please, inform us on your flight details as soon as booking is made.

Some of the sections are planned to be accompanied with video- and audio-
conferencing tools, making a remote participation possible. Information on the

CULTURAL PROGRAM
Historical and cultural tours over Moscow are organized in the evenings.
Talent show: we welcome you to share your culture through demonstration of
your group/individual performance. Please, let us know if you need special
equipment/conditions – we will try our best to support the show
