Summer Camp at the YMCA of Greater Spartanburg will give your child the
opportunity to grow and thrive in a fun and safe environment. We strive to give
your child the best experience at camp through bringing on the best camp staff,
swimming, swim lessons, arts & crafts, exciting games, weekly field trips and so
much more! You will not want your child to miss out on what great things we
have in store for our campers! This will truly be the BEST. SUMMER. EVER.
2018 Summer Camp Rates:
Monday-Friday 7:00am-6:00pm
Ages: 5 Years-13 Years
YMCA Members: $105/Week Per Child
Program Members: $175/Week Per Child
(Fees include camper t-shirt & field trips)
Registration fee will be waived until May1st.
*$10 Deposit for each week registered & a $35 registration fee per
family is due at registration.
Deposits and registration fees are non-refundable & non-transferable.
Camp Little Brave:
Monday-Friday 9:00am-1:00pm
Ages: 3 Years-4 Years
YMCA Members: $75/Week Per Child
Program Members: $145/Week Per Child
Your precious little one can come to Summer Camp too! Camp
Little Brave is geared specifically just for 3 and 4 year olds! Dur-
ing our half day camp our Camp Little Brave will have fun doing
crafts, games, activities with colors, letters, numbers and shapes
as well as receiving weekly swim lessons at no additional cost.

All Aboard for Summer! June 11-15
(Insert Cruise Ship Noise) All aboard! Let’s kick off summer the
best way we know how by cruising into camp! Each day will fea-
ture it’s own unforgettable destination! Hop onto YMCA Cruise
Lines for some summer fun!
Game Show Mania June 18-22
Ever wanted to know what it would be like to be on the Price is
Right? Who wants to be a Millionaire? Well, here is your chance!
Each day will highlight a hit game show for the entire camp to
enjoy all week long!
Decades of Fun! June 25-29
Bell bottom jeans, the Bee Gees, Donkey Kong, Walkmans, Star
Wars and the original Nintendo never get old! Each day we will
throw it waaaaay back to the best of the decades!
United States of Awesome! July 2-6
Because we are just so awesome! Let’s celebrate our great na-
tion and the red, white and blue! Also take the time to thank our
service men and women all across the country!
Y University July 9-13
Go Tigers? Go Gamecocks? Whoever your home team is show off
your team spirit with this week of camp! Don’t forget the pom
poms and face paint! *No camp on July 4
Splash Attack July 16-20
Splish! Splash! It’s an attack! Join us for this wet n’ wild week
of camp with water fights & water balloons to cool off the
right way with the YMCA!
Animal Kingdom July 23-27
We share this awesome planet with some pretty awesome
furry friends! Why not discover what all the animal kingdoms
have in store for us!
Imaginarium July 30-August 3
Your imagination has no boundaries! Each day will be packed
full of science experiments, space exploration, STEAM, and
whatever else the mind can come up with!
Holiday Hullabaloo August 6-10
How awesome would it be to have the Y’s largest birthday
party? We think it would be a blast! Holiday hullabaloo will
take us through all of the holidays the year has to offer in
one week! Including YOUR birthday!
Lights, Camera, Action! August 13-17
Break out your best acting skills and Hollywood style as we
end the Summer the right way! The last day of camp will host
“The Oscars” camp style for the entire camp and their fami-
lies!
*Field trips are announced through weekly parent newsletter distributed
every Friday & Monday.
What should my camper wear to camp? Active/athletic clothing & closed toe shoes.
What should my camper bring to camp? Sunscreen, morning and afternoon snack, swim suit,
towel and a lunch. FREE lunch is provided and is optional.
What should my camper NOT bring to camp? Any electronic devices, personal toys from home,
or anything of high value.
What is the camper to staff ratio? 1 counselor for every 12 to 15 campers. (Varies on age)
Do you offer financial assistance? Yes, as a 501(C)3, financial assistance is available, deadline to apply is May 1st.
When is parent orientation? Thomas E. Hannah YMCA, May 24 @ 6:30pm & May 26 @ 9:00am. Middle Tyger YMCA,
June 7 @ 6:30pm. Parents will get to ask specific questions, meet staff, campers will receive camper t-shirt, and enjoy
some ice cream!
How are weekly camp payments made? Weekly camp fees are to be placed on an automatic draft schedule with a valid
bank account or credit card. A minimum of two weeks written notice is required to successfully cancel a week of camp
without penalty. Refunds or prorates will not be given for suspension, expulsion, illness, vacations, and is at the discretion
of YMCA staff. Camp payments are due on Mondays for the preceding week of camp.
