What is the NAJYRC?(From http://useventing.com/resource/north-american-junior-young-rider-championships)
• The NAJYRC is an international championship event specifically for young riders.
• Teams from all areas of the U.S. as well as from Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, the Bahamas and the Caribbean are invited to compete. Special invitations have also included countries from South America.
• The NAJYRC is also recognized as the official Junior Olympics for Equestrian by the USOC.
Who can go?
• CCI1*: Somewhere between Preliminary and Intermediate14-18 years old4 “team” members + 2 “indvidual” riders
• CIC2*: Approximately Intermediate16-21 (maybe soon 25?) years old4 “team” members + 2 “indvidual” riders
• Grooms
When/where is it?
• July 18-22, 2018• Adjunct to The Event at Rebecca Farm
How do I apply?
• Renew memberships: ASAP• USEF (www.usef.org/join-usef/join-renew )• USEA (www.useventing.com/membership)• Area I YR (on USEA membership form)• FEI (register via usef dashboard)
• Submit Area I application: January 15, 2018(contact: bjarrell@choate.com)
• Submit FEI intent to qualify: March 1, 2018
