School Grade Status

• No school grades have been released for the2014-2015 school year.

• Anticipated school grade release dates: • 2014-2015 - late January 2016.• 2015-2016 - June 2016.

14-15 Proposed Achievement

• Consists of the percentage of students scoring a level 3 or higher

• Changes the old term “Proficiency” to the new term “Achievement”

• Measures the following Content Areas: • English/Language Arts (ELA)• Math• Science • Social Studies

14-15 Proposed Learning Gains

No learning gains will be issued for 2014-15.

Proposed Secondary Rules

• Acceleration calculation:• Middle School

• Percentage of students who passed one or more high school end of course classes or attained an industry certification.

• High School• Percentage of students who earned an IB, AP, Dual

Enrollment credit or a CAPE industry certification.

• Graduation rate: 4 year uniform rate only.

Other Proposed Indicators

• In addition to a qualifying score, schools must meet all of the following criteria to earn an “A.”

• Meet the learning gains requirement for at least 50% of bottom 25% of students

• Test at least 95% of students

Safety Net

• Safety net is eliminated.

• Schools may drop more than one letter grade year to year.
