It is simple….when homework is assigned, I expect that it will be returned the next school day. There maybe times when I give more than 1 day, if this happens there will be notification. Students will receive part of their “paycheck” for returning their completed homework on time.

I feel it is extremely important and beneficial for students to have and understanding of being held accountable. They need to be rewarded for being responsible for themselves and have consequences when they are not. I have worked out a money system that will hopefully encourage them to make the right choices .

This section is a secret…shhhhhh

I don’t have all of the details worked out yet. There will be plenty of notice when I do.

I will be sending home monthly newsletters that will highlight upcoming events and special items.

You may always e-mail me at hanksm@ccabr.org

My phone number at school is 231-796-6589 ext. 334. I will return calls as soon as I can.

I have a website that is “under construction” at this time I will let you know when it is available. This will be a wonderful resource to use!!

Here are some ways that parents could support our classroom:

Come in and talk to us about your career

Read to the class or individual students

Share your culture or ethnic background

Set up and clean up a class party

Chaperone field trips

for taking the time to attend Open House!

I look forward to working with you and your child this year. It is going to be a

wonderful year filled with exciting learning activities!
