D 21 first showed a discernible inner race defect on 7/9/2015. Higher resolution data was taken on 7/13.

An outer race defect started showing up in the higher resolution data taken 7/13/2015. The defect was upgraded to a P2 on 9-4 2013

Final data set taken 9/3 is shown above. Defect never showed in gE. Outer race defect had grown in amplitude. Inner race defect shown by red cursor, did not rise in amplitude. The drive side bearing on 1PM D21 was removed and replaced on 10-3

Roller set with defective raceways shows particle indentation (left)

At left, the outer race defect

The inner race showed two significant spall areas 180 degrees apart, which can indicate an eccentric journal.

The areas between the two major defects were starting to spall as well and had particle indentation form running over metal generated from the failing areas on the bearing raceways
