“back to basics” overview. We

hope that you’re as excited as

we are about our Ambassador

program.

SOME CHAMBER AMBASSADOR TIDBITS

Introduce yourself as a Chamber Ambassador. Remember to inform them

who you actually work with. Inform them why you are there, i.e. I’m

here to give you the Chamber’s new membership plaque.

Always thank the business for being a member of the Chamber.

Here is a list of questions or topics you can discuss if time permits:

Are you receiving the Friday email, “The Chamber Checklist”?

Are you receiving the monthly Chamber newsletter, “The Chamber Connec-tion”?

Have you logged into the Chamber database recently? Do you have your login and password? If not, tell them you will have someone at the office email it to them. Be sure to get their email address.

The member may ask you why should they log in to the database. Your

response should include that it’s important for them to update their busi-

ness information such as address, phone number, representatives, and

even business category. You can tell them there are tools available for

them to better market their business that also post to the Chambers Face-

book, Twitter, and LinkedIn accoutnt. They are:

Hot Deals – an online coupon for weekly or daily specials You will have some members who may feel they will not benefit from this tool. However, some members may simply use it to invite the general public to their office for coffee and cookies.

Events – List their open house, receptions, book signing, sales, etc

Job postings – Self Explanatory.

It is important to inform them, they can also add their own URL to the da-tabase, then one a potential customer looks at their profile they will find the links to their social media sites.

Keywords - There is a place for them to choose “keywords” that will aide in driving search engine traffic to their site.

You will be asked questions that I have not included responses to on this

sheet. If you don’t know the answer, simply say you don’t know, but you

will ask someone on the Chamber staff to get back with them. This way

you will learn the answer to the question, you will know that it was taken

care of, and you will help make a happy member.
