CHILDLINE ACTIVITY
Childline Koraput Ekta has observed “Childline Se Dosti” campaign week from 14th to 20th
November, 2016 at children, community and allied system level
in Borigumma and Kotpad block areas. The objective of the
campaign was to involve youths, children and adults towards
childline, its services, create awareness on child rights and
highlight the child related issues in different forums. In this
connection Childline team members have organized various
programs at school, college, community and allied system level.
AWARENESS RALLY: On 15th November, 2016 Awareness
Rally for Childline Se Dosti campaign at school level has been
organized at Nuaguda Primary school of Borigumma. 60
participants from students, school teachers, SMC members were
participated in the awareness rally. After the rally a small
meeting has organized to discuss on different child rights issues
and services of 1098 and childline.
DRAWING COMPETITION: On 19th November, 2016
drawing competition on child rights has been organized at
Kasturiva Balika Bidyalaya, Borigumma. 14 children were
participated in the drawing competition and the winners were
received prizes from childline team members. After the
competation a meeting on different child rights issues and
services childline were discussed.
SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN: On 19th November, 2016
Signature Campaign during “Childline Se Dosti” Program has been organized
at Kasturiva Balika Bidyalaya, Borigumma. 100 students, school teachers were participated in the event.

SOUL PROJECT ACTIVITY
Convergence Program with line department for linkage establishment: Convergence program with
line department has been organized at Gram Panchayat meeting hall, Kumbhikota of Rayagada district on 25th Nov, 2016. The prime objective of the meeting was to create a platform for effective discussion and make convergence among the community and Govt. departments. 60 farmers, village action team members, farmers class members were participated in the program. Mr. Nistu Mandangi, Sarpanch of Kumbhikota GP and Mr. Kedarnath Panda, AEO were presented as a guest and resource person respectively. Effective discussion made among the community people,
AEO and Sarpanch for better implementation of agricultural activities in the village level. Mr. Amit Kumar Nayak, Project Coordinator presented the key achievements through the SOUL project in the targeted villages. He focused how the convergence will be made with the line departments of effective implementation of Govt. programs. At the end a convergence plan has been developed by the VAT members for mobilization of govt. fund through convergence.
Field visit of Mr. Basanta Panigrahi,
Program Officer, IGSSS, BBSR, Office, Mr. Basanta Panigrahi has visited SOUL project area of Ekta on 30th November, 2016. He visited
Himarpodi, Mardipodi and Bada Manadara villages of Kutuli and Kumbhikota GPs of Rayagada
district. The prime objective of his visit was to see the project progress in the field level, give
necessary inputs to the community as well as the project staff for effective implementation and
achieve the project goal. In this concern, he met the village action team members, farmers and PRI
members in the above mentioned villages. During the visit he gave many valuable suggestions and
feedback for improve the quality of field level programs and activities. After the field visit, he
discussed with the project staffs at Koraput office and also verified documents and records which
are being maintained in the field level. During his stay at Koraput, he met the members of the
management.

AESS Project Activity
Workshop on Incorporating Gender Lens in Inter-Sectorial Understanding has been held at
Siddharth Village in Bhubaneswar from 26th to 29th Nov 2016 organized by SAMVAD &
BFDW. The workshop focused on Feminism and Patriarchy (day-1), Gender Equality (day-2) and
Violence against Women (day-3). Ms. Kamala Bhasine was Facilitated the whole program. Ms.
Bhanumati Santa, women tribal leader of Kerimity GP and Ms. Rena Pujari, women tribal leader of
Kotia GP were participated in the workshop on behalf of AESS.
Four Days workshop on Indigenous Views on Livelihood and Future Perspectives was held at Le
lac Hotel, Ranchi (Jharkhand) from 26th to 29th Nov 2016. The objective of workshop was to listen
the Voice of people, to learn, to realize complexity in the field, to improve project work,
complexity and diversity of indigenous group/interest, gender, age group and govt. Socio
economic programs focused on integration of indigenous into the mainstream. Methods of the
workshop were group discussion, presentation, field visit, discussion with the villagers, interview
in pairs with Question, roll play and documentation. Mr. Umesh Kumar Patra from Ekta and Ms.
Sarita Das from AESS were participated in the workshop.
Elimination of violence against women: One of the
activities which has started in 9 Panchayats of AESS
functional area. The main aim of the program was to
create more awareness among the tribal community to
eliminate any forms of violence which facing tribal
women in their day to day life, the program has
organized from 25th Nov to 10th of Dec-2016 at village
and Panchayat level. PRIs, ASHA, AWW, School teacher
were participated and gave views on elimination of any
forms of violence which co-exist in the tribal community.

CRC Project Activity
EXPOSURE VISIT OF DPOs: 46 Disable Peoples
Organization (DPO) members from Jeypore,
Dasmantpur, Laxmipur and Koraput blocks were came
for exposure visit to CRC, Duruguda Koraput on 17th
November, 2016. The objective of the exposure was to
give more information to the DPO members on different
therapy and services provided by CHC which will
ultimately help to reach community level.
Inauguration of new Mobile Health Unit (MHU) Project at
Boipariguda
STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING FOR MHU:
Meeting with Steering Committee members has been
organized at Boipariguda on 25th November, 2016. The
objective of the meeting was to make preparation for
better implementation of MHU project activity in
Ramgiri, Haldikunda, Chipakur, Doraguda and
Dandabadi GPs of Boipariguda block of Koraput district through community participation and support. In the
meeting Medical Officer, BDO, CRC, Medical Supervisor, Sarpanch, ANM AND AWW in the concern areas. Mr.
Jagannath Mishra & Mr. Durga Prasad Mohanty represented in the meeting on behalf of the organization.

Other Activities held at Ekta in this fortnight
# Mr. Avinash Sinha has represented Ekta during District Level Consultation on IEC activities by the District
Water and Sanitation Mission (DWSM) Koraput on 30th Nov, 2016
# Ms. K. Madhabi has attended 4 days Counselor Training program at VITS, Bhubaneswar from 21st to 24th
November, 2016. The training program had been organized by Odisha State Aids Control Society (OSACS) to
strengthen counselors regarding their role and responsibilities. 35 counselors from different TI project areas
were participated in the training program.
# Mobile Health Unit (MHU) Pottangi has organized 44 health camps in the different outreach pockets of
MHU project areas where 1508 patients were availed treatment and medicine services during the health
camp.
# New Mobile Health Unit (MHU) has been Inaugurated at Ramgiri on 29th November, 2016 in the presents
of Medical Officer Boipariguda and Mr. Jagannath Mishra, Secretary of Ekta. This MHU will cover outreach
pockets of Ramgiri, Haldikunda, Chipakur, Doraguda and Dandabadi Gram Panchayats of Boipariguda Block.
This project is being supported by District Medical Administration, Koraput to Ekta under Nation Health
Missions (NHM)
