Replacing traditional touch-point branding practiceswith an
innovative and more cost effective medium
The following observations were made in the last budget meeting:
• The cost of touch point branding was coming close to 34 lacs which was quite on the higher side.
• MD suggested that we either go on a cost sharing with the touch- point owners for the branding to reduce the cost
OrLook for some innovative ways to do the job in a lesser cost
• MD also suggested to think for some unique ideas through which we can create a unique brand identity among the users and other stake holders like wholesalers etc.
• The entire launch activation to be done simultaneously in all our focus market and the touch-point branding to be planned accordingly.
Issues discussed regarding touch-point branding
- To look for an alternative low cost touch point branding solution which can be activated within a short span of time across our focus markets
- To look for a unique brand identity solution with which we can loop in our associates and users.

Advantages of windsock
Windsocks can be used effectively as an advertising and publicity medium.
Advantages –
• Low cost – Compared to signages / shop-wall paintings it’s a low cost medium. Each windsock along with a 5ft long stand will cost around Rs. 1500 – Rs. 2000
• Easy to install – Windsocks are very easy to install and lead time required is also considerably low. Within a short span of time it can be installed or replaced.
• 360 degree brand visibility – Unlike signages, its visible from any direction as its installed at a height
Advantages of windsock
Advantages –
• Logistical advantages Lightweight and non-breakable material. Thus have the logistical advantage of hassle free packaging and low cost transportation to designated places.
• First mover’s advantage- This medium has not yet been adopted as an advertising medium in the category . Thus, its sure to attract more eyeballs and create a distinct brand identity because of its novelty factor and uniqueness.
