Formally registered in November of 2010, it maintains two offices, the main being located in Quezon City where individuals and groups come together to discuss the potential of the programme and exchange ideas on how to work together in applying the system successfully.TRANSCRIPT
WHAT IS COOPERATIVE?
COOPERATIVE is a duly registered association of persons with a common bond of interest who have voluntarily joined together to achieve a lawful, common social or economic end and who contribute equitably to the capital required and accept a fair share of the risk and benefits of the undertaking in accordance with universally accepted cooperative principles [Chapter I Art.2 Sec.8 of RA 6938].
REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6938 “COOPERATIVE ACT”
Purpose“To encourage thrift and savings mobilization
among its members to pool said resources to obtain high yield deposits, affordable group insurance,
hospitalization benefits for members, to grant loans to qualified members and provide health and consumer products at below market prices.”
