expense. iv) 6 months interest on bank loan was due, the amount of loan was Rs. 150,000, and the interest charge on loan

is 12% p.a. v) Paid salaries to the employees’ up to June 30th, 2019 was Rs. 144,000 of which Rs. 64,000 shows as

advance salary. vi) Depreciation on Van charge at the end of the year, the cost of Van is Rs. 2500,000 having salvage value @

40% of cost and the estimated useful life is 20 years purchased on april 5th, 2018. vii) As of Dec 31st , 2018 Bilal distribution earned sales revenue Rs. 250,000 but not received yet. viii) The firm recorded its bad debt expense for the year @ 2% of year end account receivable balance, the allowance for bad debts has a credit balance of Rs. 2,500. REQUIRED Give Adjusting,Closing and reversing Entries in the books of Bilal distribution. 20 Q.3 ACCOUNTING FOR FIXED ASSETS On Oct 1st , 2012 M/s Aqeel Co. purchased a Plant Assets from Japan on list price of Rs. 775,000 with credit terms 3/25, n/50. The Co. made the payment on 26th Oct of the same month along with 15% sales tax, custom duty Rs. 25,000, Sea freight Rs. 75,800 loading unloading charges Rs. 10,200, Installation cost Rs. 40,000 damage due to careless handling Rs. 15,400, it was estimated that the useful life of Plant Asset is 10 years and it will be depreciated by sum of the year digit method having residual value @ 10% of total cost the accounting year closes on Dec 31st, each year. On Sep 25, 2016 The Co. paid Rs. 125,800 for major overhauling of the Plant Asset the result of which increased the life of Plant Asset to 12 years instead of 10 years and the residual value is 20% of book value. On June 20, 2018 the Plant Asset was sold @ 10% loss.
