Introduction The Alexander Park playground is 612 square meters in size and is located at 1325 Bay Street, between Fernwood Road and Oregon Avenue. It provides play opportunities for neighbourhood children ages 18 months to 12 years.

Issues In its current state, the challenges to maintain this playground include:

Existing play equipment and safety zones that do not meet CSA safety standards.

Existing protective surfacing that is non-compliant for wheelchair accessibility.

Outdated, unimaginative and worn play equipment.

Opportunities

Install new equipment with a variety of play opportunities for children aged 18 months to 12 years.

Maintain social areas for caregivers that provide views to play equipment.
