Devices

This section allows you to decide which devices are to be active for away and night mode on your intruder alarm system, emergency alarm and also your panic button.

Simply tick and untick the devices where required.

This allows you to set up your away and night modes differently, perhaps covering all internal Motion Sensors and Door/Window Contact sensors on away mode, but only the extrernal Door/Window Contact sensors at night, meaning you can move around while at home, but still keep your home secure.

Ensure you select ‘SUBMIT’ when you are happy with any changes you make - alternatively select ‘RESET’ to return these settings to default set up.

Changing the alarm mode

The alarm can be controlled on your dashboard by dragging the slider to the required mode. Please note that it is not possible to go directly from night to away mode, or vice versa, you must go to home mode first.

Should you attempt to arm the system while a Door/WindowContact sensor is open, the system will display a warning. You may still arm the system - however the indicated device will need to close and then open before it will trigger the alarm.

When the intruder alarm is activated, the alarm widget willflash and inform you of this. The widget shows which device triggered the alarm and at what time this happened.

The hub will now be playing an alarm, warning any intruder that the alarm has been activated and the homeowner has been notified.

To cancel the alarm either select ‘CANCEL ALARM’ on the widget, or click the home button on your Keyfob.

Settings

You can select edit timings on your alarm, so for example allowing yourself more time to leave the house after arming, or reducing the time between devices being triggered andthe alarm sounding.

You can also decide on how many devices it will take being triggered for the alarm (on night or away) to be activated.

Ensure you select ‘SUBMIT’ when you are happy with any changes you make - alternatively select ‘RESET’ to return these settings to default set up.

Alerts

When an alarm on your system is activated you will most likely want yourself and others to be notified.

This section allows you to decide who will be notified in such an event.

You can add new alerts within this screen too, by manually adding the contact you would like to receive the alert, how they will be notified and for what event they are being notified of.

The option to edit, add or delete new contacts is also foundhere.

FAQs

How do I control my alarm remotely?

There are several ways in which the alarm can be controlled.

Dashboard - simply drag the slider to the required mode.

Keyfob – press the away button on the Keyfob, this is the stickman outside the house, once to set the alarm to away mode. Hold down the same button for three seconds to set the alarm to night mode.

Press the home button on the Keyfob, this is the stickman inside the house, once to set the alarm to home mode or cancel an alarm.

SMS - send an SMS to 07537414000 and type your command, followed by your PIN.

Email - email [email protected] with the command and your PIN in the subject line.

For a full list of commands you can use, please check the Remote Control Guide.

I have lost one of my Keyfobs, what do I do?

First of all, head to ‘DEVICES’ on your dashboard where you will see all the devices currently linked to your system.

Check to see if the Keyfob you have lost is still showing signal range – if it is and it’s been more than 10 minutes since you lost it, then the Keyfob is still within or close to your property.

If there is no signal showing and you are sure you have lost it, then to prevent someone else using it to disarm your alarm – simply head to the ‘MANAGE ’option for that Keyfob within the ‘DEVICES’ section.

This will open up a pop box which gives you the option to ‘REMOVE DEVICE’. Select this and the device will no longer appear on your system, and more importantly will no longer be able to control the alarm.

Why can't I arm or disarm my alarm?

The alarm requires at least one Keyfob and one device that can trigger the alarm, so you will need to ensure these are installed and set up in the active devices for away and/or night mode in the ‘ALARM CONFIGURATION’ section.

Why will my device not trigger the alarm?

First of all, head to the ‘DEVICES’ section on your dashboard where you will see all the devices currently linked to your system.

Check the relevant device is present on the system, and has a good battery life showing.

Secondly, please check that the device is set up in the active devices for the required mode. You can do this by going to the ‘ALARM CONFIGURATION’ section where you can choose which devices are active within which modes.

Why is my pet friendly motion sensor not responding to movement?

To save battery life on this device, the device will not trigger for two minutes after any movement is picked up (either when the system is armedor disarmed).

If you are trying to identify or test this device and it is not responding, please either leave the room, or place the sensor in a closed drawer for twofull minutes before trying this again.

The device should now be triggered as expected.

How do I set two devices to trigger an alert?

This feature gives you more control when setting up your intruder alarm, giving you the option to decide when you want to be alerted if there is a problem in your home.

If you choose two devices to be triggered, the system will go into a state of alert for 5 minutes and you will receive an alert if a second device istriggered within this time. This will inform you that there is an issue that really should be investigated.

To do this, head to the ‘ALARM CONFIGURATION’ section and then ‘SETTINGS’ on your dashboard. In here you will see that for night and away mode you have the option for switching the ‘NUMBER OF DEVICES REQUIRED...’ to 1 Device or 2 Devices.
