Since the fiscal year ended March 2014, we have strived to expand the scope of our business centered onmemory product manufacturing and distribution by diversifying our revenue base with an additional businesssegment of the telecommunication consulting business and the HPC business, and we have grown into thecomprehensive provider of products and solutions awaited by the electronic devices and telecommunication-related business area. In the meantime, we adopted a pure holding company structure to underpin thediversification, and evolved into a company group composed of AKIBA Holdings and five business entities.

On the back of the growth in sales of memory products for consumer computers, the IoT business, thetelecommunication engineering business for mobile careers, and the HPC business, etc., revenue has grownsince the fiscal year ended March 2013 to reach 11.42 billion yen for the fiscal year ended March 2019 for thefirst time since the fiscal year ended March 2005, a level exceeding 10 billion yen and reached 12.574 billion yenfor the fiscal year ended March 2020. Earnings for the fiscal year ended March 2020 were operating profit of642 million yen and net profit attributable to owners of the parent of 654 million yen, exceeding the level of theprevious fiscal year which marked a record high result since the fiscal year ended March 2005. This would nothave been achieved without the assistance and support we have received from all our stakeholders includingcustomers, shareholders and investors, to which we are truly grateful.

Meanwhile, the domestic economy is in a very severe situation due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19)pandemic and the resulting postponement of the Tokyo Olympic Games, among other reasons. We are in adifficult business environment amid the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting global recessions, together withthe risks arising from the U.S.-China trade dispute. In these circumstances, we strive to analyze the currentbusiness environment, our business profiles, and the state of resources objectively to prepare for optimumbusiness development even in a severe condition, while promoting the creation of a potential growth areas inorder to establish a robust and flexible business structure.

For further growth of shareholder value, we will strengthen management in a timely manner under a robustinternal governance system.
