AKADEMIE(PREPRI
MÊR):
Linda Van Rhyn
Ons kleuters is die
afgelope kwartaal
behoorlik besig gehou al
alle fronte!
Al het ons kleuters hard
geoefen aan die
Lofprysingsaand, het die
akademie in die klasse
steeds voortgegaan en is
ons kleuters blootgestel
aan Wiskunde, Taal,
Musiek en Skeppende
aktiwiteite!
Die juffrouens was fluks
besig met assesserings
van ons kleuters om hul
vorderingsverslae reg te
kry vir die Derde
kwartaal. Ons het net
weer besef hoe bevoorreg
ons as juffrouens is om
hande te vat met ouers
wat saam met ons stap om
elke kleuter te help om sy
volle potensiaal te bereik.
Ons Graad 0 kleuters het
deelgeneem aan ʼn
informele evaluasie om te
bepaal waar hul staan tov
skoolgereedheid. Dit was
n reuse sukses en ons
kleuters was gaande oor
al die lekker takies wat
hul gedoen het. Dit gee
ook ʼn aanduiding vir ons
as juffrouens en ouers aan
watter areas daar meer
aandag gegee moet word.
Ons is ook baie
opgewonde oor die
Playball-juffrouens wat
sedert hierdie kwartaal vir
ons Graad 0 kleuters een
keer per week, vir 45 min
neem, om hul bloot te stel
aan verskeie vaardighede
mbt tot sport en
beweging. Die juffrouens
volg ʼn goedgekeurde
lesplan wat aansluit by
ons kurrikulum vir
Beweging en om groot-en
kleinmotoriese
vaardighede te ontwikkel.
Ons Graad 00-kleuters
ontwikkel pragtig en werk
hard aan hul knip-, plak
en verfvaardighede.
Vryspel is groot pret in
die Gr00 klasse en dit is
hoe hierdie klein mensies
die beste leer…deur te
speel!
Moedig u kleuters aan om
te ontdek, te waag en vrae
te vra. Al die sintuie moet
betrokke wees by die
leerproses…geniet elke
oomblik op hierdie
ontdekkingstog saam met
u kleuter!

must serve one another in
love.
The term Character Qualities
were as follows:-
GOD IS SHEPHERD AND
PROTECTOR

and I am not afraid.

The children learn to trust in
God as their protector who is
always with them and
understand that He will never
leave them
GOD IS SERVANT
Scripture: Let love cause
you to serve one another.
Galatians 5.13
The children learn that as they
are filled up with God‟s love
they will want to serve and
help each other to please the
Lord and to be more like Him
GOD IS PATIENT AND
SELF CONTROLLED
Scripture: Be patient with
everyone.
Phil.4.19

Assemblies This has been a wonderful
term, and is such a blessing to
see the growth in God in the

We had a guest singer at one

and ministered to the children
Regarding Rainbow land
which is her ministry.
HONOURING NIGHT
This was an amazing event
where everyone had a chance
to Honour our Lord and to
worship Him in the Rainbow

wonderful team effort where
parents and staff joined hands
and worked together to put on
a concert that amazed and
spoke to so many people.

SPORT-
Riana Abrahams
Hiedie kwartaal het die
kinders weer in groot getalle
opgedaag om aan die sport
deel te neem. Ons het hokkie
en sokker gespeel.
Dis “manne het mekaar
behoorlik die stryd
aangesêmet die sokkerbal.
Die afrigters van “Young
Cricket Guns” het die skool
besoek en al die Gr 0 en Gr
oo kinders geneem en touwys
gemaak met die kolf.
„n Graad 0 mamma, Charnê
Johnson, het ook een
Maandag almal op maat van
musiek laat dans. Dit was
wonderlik om te sien hoe
hulle almal bybly met die
passies.
Die kinders het al die sport

SCHOOL LIFE-
Charmaine Roodt
The School Life events taught
the children a lot this term.
The reptile man from Giraffe
House brought some of the
animals to school. Mr.
Johannes was brave enough to
have a Tarantula walk on his
hand.
The Honey Bee Foundation
taught everyone many
interesting facts about bees
and their honey.
One of our local policemen
spoke to the children about
what he does at the police
station every day.
The children had a chance to
put on his heavy life Jacket!
We are so appreciative for
what the police force do, to
keep us safe.
All the Gr 0 children went to
Durbanville Fire Station to
learn more about the duties
and dangers a fire fighter has
to face every day. We sat in
the fire truck and took turns
holding the fire hose while it
sprayed water to put out the
“imaginary” fire.
On a rainy Friday morning the
Gr 0 classes went to Butterfly
World to learn about insects,
spiders and even iguanas.
Have you ever seen a
butterfly come out of the
cocoon?? We did!!!
We ended off out term with
The Big Games Day on the
last day of term. Many
parents helped us at the
various stations and they had
just as much fun as the
children.
